Trivia

Bill Eadie

Edit
  • He is a former school teacher.
  • As a member of Demolition (with Barry Darsow, aka "Demolition Smash")), he currently holds the record for the longest WWF Tag Team title reign. Demolition's first title reign lasted from March 27, 1988 to July 18, 1989, nearly 16 months.
  • On September 29, 2007, after nearly 17 years apart, he reunited with the other founding member of Demolition, Smash (Barry Darsow), for a Demolition reunion. The two wrestled for an independent wrestling promotion known as the UXW. They won the promotion's tag team championships on that night. The duo planned on inviting Crush (Brian Adams) to join their reunion, but he had passed away the month before.
  • He was best known as Ax of Demolition in the WWF from 1987-1990 when he was replaced by Crush (aka Brian Adams). Before he was Ax, he was a member of The Machines with Bob Windham (aka "Blackjack Mulligan"). Since his WWF days he can be seen exclusively in several small Independant Regional Promotions as Ax, Axis The Demolisher and The Masked Superstar, among others. At one point he even formed a new Demolition tandem with partner Blast (aka Richard Charland).
  • Former three-time WWF Tag-Team Champion as Demolition Ax (with Barry Darsow, aka "Demolition Smash").
  • Played one of the fake Stings during the Jeff Jarrett vs. Steve Borden (aka "Sting") match at WCW Halloween Havoc (2000).
  • The late André René Roussimoff was godfather to Eadie's daughter.
  • As the Masked Superstar, Eadie held the NWA Tag Team Title with partner, Paul Jones.
  • In the early 1980s, he wore a mask and wrestled as The Masked Superstar.
  • Former World Tag Team Champion.
  • As of 2007, has been teaching for nine years, mentoring at-risk kids.
  • Fought the WWF for (and won) the rights to the Demolition name and intellectual properties. Now has the right to use the names Ax and Smash, and Demolition in any wrestling promotion.
  • Named to the Board of Directors for Dave Nelson's upstart WWWA promotion. (August 2005)
  • The Masked Superstar (Bill Eadie), Matt Borne (evil Doink in WWF), Andrew 'Test' Martin and Steve Corino lost to Dusty Rhodes, D'Lo Brown, Tom Prichard and The Blue Meanie in the Wrestle Reunion II event. (August 2005)
