    • María Victoria Durá was a Spanish actress and voice artist whose distinctive voice became a hallmark of mid-20th-century cinema. Her career began in theater and radio, where she honed her expressive vocal abilities. This talent led to a prolific career in dubbing, particularly with Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM), where she provided the Spanish voices for stars like Ava Gardner, Katharine Hepburn, Esther Williams, Eleanor Parker, and Cyd Charisse. Durá's film appearances include roles in "La huida" (1956), "Hola... señor Dios" (1970), and "Emma, puertas oscuras" (1974). Her performance in "La honradez de la cerradura" (1950) was part of the official selection at the 1951 Cannes Film Festival. Throughout her career, she often dubbed herself in films, showcasing her versatility and commitment to her craft. María Victoria Durá passed away in 1998, leaving behind a legacy that continues to influence Spanish dubbing and acting.
