NYC Web Fest (Nycwf), the city’s first web series festival, is proud to announce the inclusion of podcasts as an official category in its 12th annual celebration of indie storytelling. This year’s festival will take place October 3–5, 2025 in New York City, with submissions open now through July 31st via NYCWebFest.com.

Founded in 2014, NYC Web Fest was the first festival in New York to champion web series. Over the years, the fest has grown to include TV pilots, short films, and micro-episodes. With the rise of narrative and nonfiction podcasting, the festival now expands again — this time embracing audio storytelling.

“We launched NYC Web Fest to shine a light on the creativity we saw exploding online. Now, with the evolution of digital storytelling, it’s only natural we open the door to podcasters too,” said Nycwf Founder Lauren Atkins. “Web series were once considered fringe — now they’re launching careers.

Vanna revealed in an interview that they only film 34 days per year.

“We film about 34 days a year,” Vanna said during an interview on the “Elvis Duran and the Morning Show,” which caused a huge surprised reaction from the co-hosts.

“That’s it. But (we film) six shows a day. Come on. Feel bad for me,” she said.

“That’s six different dresses a day,” co-host Danielle Monaro added of her iconic numbers.

Another host then said that that means she has 331 days off per year, to which Vanna responded, “Yes, I guess so. I’ve never looked at it like that.”

Vanna White can be seen on television frequently as the co-host of Ryan Seacrest on the TV game show Wheel of Fortune. Her continued run on the show follows 42 years of co-hosting with Pat Sajak for 42 years before his retirement in 2024.

Per Variety, White recently appeared as a guest for an interview with Elvis Duran and the Morning Show. She shared that she ultimately works just over one month in total days out of the year with her when filming Wheel of Fortune episodes. This is because six episodes of the game show are filmed each production day, even if she's changing her outfits in between each one. The end result is having over 330 days of the year off, which could be surprising for fans of the show, given how often she's seen in new episodes of Wheel of Fortune on television.

Vanna White recently shocked the hosts of “Elvis Duran and the Morning Show” by revealing that she only works on “Wheel of Fortune” for 34 days a year. Named in honor of the late Art Carney, the Carney Awards were launched four years ago by radio personality Elvis Duran to celebrate Hollywood’s leading character actors.

“Art Carney is the gold standard,” Duran said in a statement. “We are so humbled to honor these actors in his name, forever enshrining them in a character actor ‘hall of fame.’ This is the only production in all of Hollywood to do so. These amazing men and women deserve to be recognized.”

Patton Oswalt will host this year’s festivities, which take place on Oct. 28 at the Broad Stage in Santa Monica.

This star-studded Awards gala is instrumental in helping to provide support for the 1.5 million New Yorkers who rely on Food Bank’s programs and services.
