Mr. Judge Henry Dupree was born in Dallas, Texas to the parentage of William and Sadye Watson Dupree. He was the youngest of three children. His brother is Alfred "Big Al" Dupree who was a famous musician and appeared in several movies. His oldest sibling was Sadye Gee; a school teacher in Dallas. His nephew is Clayton Claridy who appeared in Open Mike Night.
