'The Office' Star's 64% Rotten Tomatoes Sci-Fi Comedy Is a Surprise Streaming Success 15 Years Later
Image
Time travel is a concept long discussed within film and TV, with most movies venturing into the endless possibilities with sincerity. However, one of the sub-genre's most popular sleeper hits took the concept and passed it through a comedy writing room, creating the most unlikely of successes. Starring John Cusackas Adam, alongside his friends Lou (Rob Corddry) and Nick (Craig Robinson), the brilliant Hot Tub Time Machine sees the trio, and Jacob (Clark Duke), transported back to 1986 via the titular leisure activity.

Fifteen years since it first debuted, Hot Tub Time Machine is still as popular as ever, officially joining the ranks of the ten most-streamed movies on Peacock in the U.S., per FlixPatrol. As of July 27, the movie finished tenth on the list, with the billion-dollar Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom at #9, and Steve Carell's family-friendly adventure Horton Hears a Who! at #8. Jaume Collet-Serra's new horror The Woman in the Yard...

25 Years After Back to the Future, Crispin Glover Stole the Show in This Time Travel Comedy Now Streaming on Peacock
Image
40 years ago, Crispin Glover starred in Back to the Future, one of the most beloved movies of all time. While Glover did not reprise his role as George McFly for the sequels, he'd end up stealing the show 25 years later in a wildly different time travel film. Called Hot Tub Time Machine, the film is now streaming on Peacock just in time for the 40th anniversary of Back to the Future.

In 2010, Glover appeared in director Steve Pink's Hot Tub Time Machine, a time travel comedy. Following four friends who inadvertently travel from 2010 back to 1986 through a time-traveling hot tub, the film starred John Cusack, Rob Corddry, Craig Robinson, and Clark Duke. Glover was one of several notable supporting stars, joining names like Chevy Chase, Sebastian Stan, Lizzy Caplan, and William Zabka.

In the movie, Glover plays Phil, a bellhop at the Kodiak Valley resort that hosts the titular time machine.

Netflix’s Most Underrated Animated Series Has 97 Million Hours ( Photo Credit – Netflix )

Archer fans might have found their next obsession. It is a show that’s quietly slipped past a lot of people despite pulling in nearly 97 million viewing hours since 2021 and earned a sky-high audience score of 91% on Rotten Tomatoes.

The Overlooked Animated Series on Netflix

The show is Inside Job, a sharp and strange Netflix animated series, that is set in Washington, DC, where a secretive organization called Cognito, Inc. works behind the scenes to keep the world’s wildest conspiracy theories under wraps. From moon landing hoax to reptilian shapeshifters and mind control, all of it’s real in this universe, and it’s someone’s 9-to-5 job to keep it quiet.

The series leans into weird science, office dysfunction and dysfunctional people. Its main cast includes geniuses, rogue agents, and a shadow government that’s somehow more exhausting than terrifying.

10 Worst Episodes Of The Office, Ranked
Image
There's no debating that "The Office" should be remembered as one of the most influential TV comedies of all time. Just as its British predecessor had done for its local sitcoms, the US adaptation (which first premiered in 2006) defined what American network sitcoms would look, feel, and sound like for the next decade and change.

The influence of "The Office" can be felt on future hit shows like "Superstore," "Parks and Recreation," and even "Abbott Elementary," while the cast and crew whose careers it kickstarted have since produced the likes of "The Mindy Project," the "A Quiet Place" franchise, "Brooklyn Nine-Nine," "The Good Place," and more. Suffice it to say, entertainment at large would look a lot different if "The Office" had never come to the states -- though that doesn't mean the show lasted so long without considerable hiccups.

If you ask Pam Beesly herself, Jenna Fischer, fans are...

Sebastian Stan’s 7 Best Performances, In and Out of the Marvel-Verse
Image
Sebastian Stan is back as Bucky Barnes, aka the ruthless, one-armed Winter Soldier in the latest Marvel Cinematic Universe film, “Thunderbolts*,” but the highly trained super soldier is only one of his many great roles.

The award-winning actor is well known for his turn as an action hero, but he is also adept at comedy, dark psychological drama and embodying a number of real-life people on the big and small screen .

Here are our favorite roles of his so far:

Sebastian Stan in “Hot Tub Time Machine” (Credit: MGM/UA) Blaine in “Hot Tub Time Machine”

Not one of his “best” films, per se, but Sebastian Stan is one of the funniest things in this comedy as stereotypical ’80s bully Blaine, who flips out when he thinks time travelers John Cusack, Craig Robinson, Clark Duke and Rob Corddry are actually Russian spies. “They could be some kind of ’21 Jump Street’ spy battalion-type dudes,...

Sebastian Stan Survived On ‘Hot Tub Time Machine’ Residuals Before Landing MCU Role
Image
Before he was the Winter Soldier, Sebastian Stan was a snow bunny trying to make ends meet.

The Oscar nominee recalled how royalties from his appearance in 2010’s Hot Tub Time Machine helped him survive before he landed his role as the MCU‘s James ‘Bucky’ Barnes in Captain America: The First Avenger (2011).

“I was actually struggling with work,” he told Vanity Fair. “I had just gotten off the phone with my business manager, who told me I was saved by $65,000 that came in residuals from Hot Tub Time Machine.”

In director Steve Pink’s sci-fi romp Hot Tub Time Machine, Stan played the typical ’80s bully Blaine, who terrorizes a group of friends who travel back in time to their teen years at a 1986 ski resort.

Following his MCU debut, Stan continued to play the Winter Soldier in Captain America: The Winter Soldier...

'Thunderbolts*' Star Sebastian Stan Reveals How Hot Tub Time Machine Saved His Career
Image
There are many actors who come from humble beginnings (though less so these days) and remember a time when it was a struggle to pay the bills. And Thunderbolts* star Sebastian Stan is no exception. The Academy Award-nominated actor is sitting comfortably now thanks to numerous projects that have established him as one of the best actors of his generation, but before he arrived in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Stan was barely getting by. However, it was residuals from a largely forgotten 2010 comedy that helped him keep the lights on before he was cast in Captain America: The First Avenger.

Speaking with Vanity Fair, Stan reveals that he was in a rough spot acting-wise before he was cast in 2011's Captain America: The First Avenger as Bucky Barnes. It was a role that changed the trajectory of his career, but it was the residuals from the 2010 comedy film Hot Tub Time Machine...

Sebastian Stan Says $65,000 in ‘Hot Tub Time Machine’ Residuals “Saved” Him Ahead of MCU Role
Image
Sebastian Stan is one of the most in-demand and most-respected actors in Hollywood. It certainly wasn’t always that way — not before Marvel came calling.

Stan told Vanity Fair he was “struggling with work” before being cast as Bucky Barnes/The Winter Soldier for 2011’s Captain America: The First Avenger.

“I had just gotten off the phone with my business manager, who told me I was saved by $65,000 that came in residuals from Hot Tub Time Machine,” Stan recalled.

Thank goodness for the role of Blaine the ski-patrol bully. (Stan had also done 11 episodes of Gossip Girl by then.)

Hot Tub Time Machine starred John Cusack, Rob Corddry, Craig Robinson and Clark Duke as a group of guys who accidentally time-travel back to 1986 using a hot tub and must find a way to return to 2010. The supporting cast included Crispin Glover, Lizzy Caplan and Chevy Chase; Glover of Back to the Future fame,...

10 Best Sebastian Stan Movies & TV Shows (That Aren’t in the MCU), Ranked
Image
Among the most popular stars working in the entertainment industry, Sebastian Stan has had huge success as an actor who can shine in both movies and television, as well as deliver wonderful performances that showcase the range of this performer. Moreover, many comic book fans will assuredly recognize this artist thanks to his turn as Bucky Barnes/The Winter Soldier in the MCU, although, despite garnering praise for the role, Sebastian Stan has always been making great works of art outside the MCU.

Specifically, the actor’s eclectic career reveals an artist who not only tries to make great television shows but also wants to redefine the landscape of cinema with each new film project. At the same time, Sebastian Stan has proven time and again why he should be recognized as more than a blockbuster star and instead should be viewed as a committed actor who excels at any genre or filmmaking scale.

How Does the Real 2025 Compare to the One in ‘Hot Tub Time Machine 2’?
Image
There have been a number of different kinds of movie time machines — from phone booths, to ancient Japanese scepters, to a cocaine trafficker’s wacky sports car. But it wasn’t until 2010 that a character broke the time barrier using a magical jacuzzi.

Hot Tub Time Machine was a goofy, but mostly enjoyable comedy that found John Cusack, Rob Corddry, Craig Robinson and Clark Duke traveling back in time to the 1980s. At least it nailed the complex nature of meddling with the timeline in a way that few other time-travel films do.

Because it was a modest success, Hot Tub Time Machine spawned a sequel. And it’s not great. In fact, it’s quite bad. Even John Cusack didn’t want to return for Hot Tub Time Machine 2, and that guy once made a movie in which cell phone signals turn people into telepathic zombies.

But Hot Tub Time Machine 2...

Cobra Kai Creator's Wild Time Travel Franchise Getting New Streaming Home 15 Years After Release
Image
The Cobra Kai creator also worked on a time travel movie franchise that has gotten some recent news. The show is co-created by Josh Heald, Jon Hurwitz, and Hayden Schlossberg. Cobra Kai is a Karate Kid spinoff TV series about Daniel Larusso and Johnny Lawrence becoming martial-arts rivals again years later. It has done very well during its tenure on Netflix so far, where it has had five completed seasons. The last third of Cobra Kai season 6 is set for release on Netflix next year.

All three of its creators have also had careers outside of Cobra Kai, though the Netflix series is arguably their biggest show. All three of them worked on a raunchy comedy series called Obliterated, which was unfortunately nixed by Netflix after a single season. Heald, for example, has also worked on the movie comedy Mardi Gras: Spring Break in 2011. One of the writer's first screenplay...

Take a Trip in a 'Hot Tub Time Machine' When the Comedy Hits a New Streamer in January

One of the most creative takes on a time-travel movie came to us in the form of Hot Tub Time Machine. The franchise asked an important question: What if you got in a hot tub, and it took you back to a trip you went on back in 1986? Well, the group of friends and Jacob (Clark Duke), who wasn't alive yet, get to find out. It is a hilarious look into time-travel and also explores that idea we all have. What would we do if we could go back in time and change the past? Would we jeopardize the future that we did end up with? Now, you can discover that as both films start streaming on Max in January!

10 Best Animated Sci-Fi Comedy TV Shows
Image
Animation has always been a great medium to explore the boundless potential of sci-fi stories, and there are plenty of comedy shows which seize the freedom of animation. Animation and sci-fi go hand-in-hand, since both are interested in that which can't be ordinarily depicted using Earthly means. Animated sci-fi comedies have the opportunity of using the entire universe as their setting.

Ever since The Jetsons premiered in the 1960s, there have been animated sci-fi comedies, although most of these were targeted toward children. The arrival of Futurama in 1999 was a massive game-changer. After The Simpsons ushered in a new dawn for adult-oriented animated comedy, Futurama set the tone for sci-fi comedies. Since then, the 21st century has seen a boom in animated sci-fi comedies, with new classics such as Rick and Morty pushing the genre forward.

10 Nicolas Cage Movies Where The Actor Plays A Fully Unhinged Character
Image
Out of all the over-the-top and outrageous actors in Hollywood, no performer has a reputation for playing unhinged characters quite like Nicolas Cage. Watching a Cage film was never a waste of time, as although they can vary in quality, his over-the-top characterizations and intense portrayal make for compelling viewing.

Some of the very best Nicolas Cage movies featured him playing totally unhinged characters as he excelled in action, comedy, drama, and horror movies. Vince Vaughn Is Liam Hemsworth's Crime Boss in This Neo-Noir Thriller on Netflix
Image
Despite being best known for his comical side roles in films like Hot Tub Time Machine and Sex Drive, Clark Duke went in a much different direction with his directorial debut Arkansas, a neo-noir dark comedy released in early 2020. If Dukes acting credits were mostly within the gross out comedy genre, then Arkansas felt like a deliberate throwback to the style of quirky crime comedies helmed by Joel and Ethan Coen that were popular in the 1990s. Duke certainly succeeded in revitalizing an antiquated genre that had mostly been brought to life on dramatic television within the past decade. The movie features Dukes finest acting role to date, but Arkansas is worth watching solely for the unusually sinister turn from Vince Vaughn.

The Office's core group of characters largely stayed intact, but season 3 introduced new faces that didn't all stick around. Despite latecomers, The Office remains rewatchable with iconic moments and new characters that added to the show's popularity. Some of the more notable introductions didn't stick around for long, and others only joined the sitcom for its final season. Why John Cusack Doesn't Return In Hot Tub Time Machine 2
Image
Cusack was replaced in Hot Tub Time Machine 2 to cut costs due to a lower budget than the original. Cusack's absence was surprising, but he did make a small cameo in an unrated cut of the sequel. The sequel ended up a box office flop with a significantly lower budget and poor reception.

John Cusack was noticeably missing from Hot Tub Time Machine 2 for a reason not many would come to expect. Five years before the sequel premiered in theaters, Cusack not only featured in the original Hot Tub Time Machine but was one of its four central characters swept back in time via a Kodiak Valley Ski Resort hot tub and challenged to find their way back to their own day and age. Among the time-traveling friends were Cusack's Adam, Rob Corddry's Lou Dorchen, Craig Robinson's Nick Webber, and Adam's nephew Jacob, played by Clark Duke.

Hot Tub Time Machine Unrated Vs. Regular Theatrical Version: A Complete Guide To The Better Movie
Image
The theatrical version of Hot Tub Time Machine is more tightly scripted than the unrated version, with unnecessary extended scenes. The unrated version includes purposeless additional nudity scenes that offer little more than alternate camera angles. Sebastian Stan's funny scene is the best addition in the unrated version, but overall, fans won't miss much by choosing the regular theatrical cut.

The Hot Tub Time Machine unrated vs. regular version debate compares the theatrical iteration of the film to the extended, unrated one included on the DVD and Blu-ray. Hot Tub Time Machine is a unique time travel comedy starring John Cusack, Rob Corddry, Craig Robinson, and Clark Duke. Three friends, Adam (Cusack), Lou (Corddry), Nick (Robinson), and Adam's nephew, Jacob (Duke), go on a boys' trip to a ski resort from their younger years to recapture their youth. Image
Matthew Vaughn now working on Kick-Ass reboot trilogy. The Stuntman will be part of the trilogy, and is now in production. The first part of the trilogy, School Fight, already wrapped a couple of years ago.

Writer and director Matthew Vaughn is now working on his next movie, The Stuntman, which is likely to be the second installment in Vaughn’s new Kick-Ass reboot trilogy. As per a report by Variety, Vaughn is now “deep into producing” the project, which will follow two brothers who both become stuntmen.

While further details remain under wraps at present, the report does reveal that The Stuntman is currently in production, with Vaughn filming some of the movie last October in Hampshire. For the sequence a “1970s-style fun fair” complete with “a helter skelter and ferris wheel,” which had been installed for the movie, was used.

According to Vaughn, The Stuntman “is part of a new “Kick-Ass” trilogy,...

"Worst Time Of My Life": Dakota Johnson's The Office Finale Cameo Gets Brutal Response From Star
Image
Dakota Johnson recalls her cameo in The Office finale as the worst time of her life. She filmed for two weeks but had minimal screen time and expected to only show up for half a day. Her small role was intended to set up a spinoff that never panned out, which may have been for the best considering her negative experience.

Dakota Johnson recalls her cameo from The Office finale, and she's not happy about it. Aired in 2013, the series finale bid farewell to the beloved mockumentary sitcom that ran on NBC for nine seasons. The two-part episode was tasked with saying goodbye to The Office cast and characters, including Steve Carell who returned as Michael Scott, along with introducing a new generation of Dunder Mifflin employees to replace them, one of which included Dakota Johnson as a character named Dakota.

During a recent appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers,...

Every Movie Coming to Freevee in December 2023
Image
Once Halloween celebrations conclude, supermarkets rush to dispose of mass hauls of moldy pumpkins, refit their costume aisles, and whack their Christmas playlist on loop as they cash in on festivities. Like supermarkets, streaming sites swiftly turn their gaze upon the turn of November, force-feeding the festive season down our throats like a lukewarm Christmas dinner doused in tomato ketchup a good seven weeks before the main event.

Of course, they’ll maintain it's all in the “holly jolly” spirit of the “best time of year,” but it isn’t the biblically-inspired C-word they’re focused on, but rather the financially-motivated C-word: capitalism. Despite further lining the pockets of Jeff Bezos and Reed Hastings, we can’t help but be enticed by the festive offerings of these major players in the streaming arena, with a host of titles across all platforms released throughout December. In Freevee's case, there is an...

The Canceled Netflix Series Fans Desperately Tried To Save
Image
In a world replete with quick-spreading disinformation and the subsequent, dangerous proliferation of kooky conspiracy theories, the 2021 animated series "Inside Job" — created by Shion Takeuchi (a writer on "Gravity Falls" and "Disenchantment") — was perfectly timed. "Inside Job" posited that every single conspiracy theory you've ever heard — whether it be Reptilians, JFK, the Mandela effect, the flat Earth, or the faked moon landing — were all 100 percent real. Clones were out there, severed heads were being kept alive in labs, and aliens regularly visited Earth. Just like in "The X-Files," ordinary citizens weren't allowed access to this knowledge.

Earth's conspiracies were overseen by a mysterious underground organization called Cognito, Inc., one of six major shadow governments secretly in charge of the world. The other five were the Catholic Church, the Illuminati, Atlantis, the Reptoids, and the Juggalos (tee hee). The central joke of "Inside Job" was that Cognito, Inc. was staffed by flawed,...

The Office Reboot With Original Showrunner in the Works
Steve Carell, Jenna Fischer, Rainn Wilson, John Krasinski, and B.J. Novak in The Office (2005)
With the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, there's been one term that's finally been dying down:

Reboot.

Now that the WGA strike is nearing its end, the term is returning in a big way, and it isn't easy to be excited about this piece of TV news.

The latest edition of the Puck newsletter broke the news that a reboot of the NBC iteration of The Office is in development.

The only bit of good news is that Greg Daniels, who brought the Steve Carell comedy series to life, will shepherd the new adaptation.

There are no details on where the potential series would air, but it's hard to imagine any network not jumping at the opportunity of bringing the iconic comedy back to life.

The Office launched on NBC in 2005 and aired for nine seasons through 2013, picking up numerous awards and acclaim.

Much like Suits, The Office has enjoyed a second life on streaming,...

How Old Every The Croods Character Is Meant To Be
Image
The impending apocalypse and perils of prehistoric life featured in DreamWorks' The Croods affect every character differently depending on how old they're supposed to be. At the beginning of the Kirk DeMicco and Chris Sanders-directed movie, the Croods, led by over-protective Grug (Nicolas Cage) have spent their lives seeking shelter from the dangers of "the Croodaceous period" by living in a cave, but Grug's overly-curious daughter Eep (Emma Stone) thinks there's more to life than living in fear. Fate forces them to leave their sanctuary and they must explore the outside world to find a home in one of the most popular DreamWorks animated movies of the last decade.

Soon Grug, his mate Ugga (Catherine Keener), Eep, his son Thunk (Clark Duke), daughter Sandy (Kailey Crawford) and Gran (Cloris Leachman) find themselves encountering strange creatures and environments, as well as a few new friends like Guy (Ryan Reynolds), who...

‘Mrs. Davis’ Star Jake McDorman Says He and His ‘Greek’ Castmates ‘Would Be Down’ for a Reboot: ‘All Still Super Close’ (Video)
Greek (2007)
It’s been 12 years since “Greek” wrapped its run on ABC Family — which of course, is now Freeform — but the cast is still hoping to see a revival of the show someday. And yes, that includes Jake McDorman.

While on the red carpet for his new Peacock series “Mrs. Davis,” McDorman was quick to jump on board when TheWrap floated the idea of a revival series, enthusiastically noting that he and his former co-stars all still talk regularly.

“Yeah! I’m still friends with all those guys, we talk all the time,” McDorman said. “The guys, we all kind of live close — in fact, I think, I talked to Clark Duke earlier, I think he’s gonna be here — but me, Scott, Pj, Jacob Zachar, Clark, we’re all still super close, so I know we’d be down.”

Why The Office Season 9, Episode 2 Is So Unpopular (& Why It's Good)
Image
While one The Office season 9 episode may have annoyed many, the outing also made a good point about the show’s heroes. The Office, like many workplace sitcoms, had to tread a tricky line when it came to the relationships between the show’s heroes. On one hand, The Office was a sitcom and a comfort watch for many, meaning its humor could never get too mean-spirited too often. On the other hand, The Office was an adaptation of the British show of the same name, which, despite some sweet moments, was infamous for its sharp, unsparing cringe comedy.

Since The Office lasted a lot longer than the original UK series, the show inevitably ended up softening its characters over time. A lot of The Office characters who began as almost villainous figures, such as Dwight and Ryan, became annoying but lovable mainstays by the final season. This also meant...

Tales From The Box Office: 10 Years Later, The Croods Is Still Nic Cage's Biggest Movie
Image
(Welcome to Tales from the Box Office, our column that examines box office miracles, disasters, and everything in between, as well as what we can learn from them.)

Particularly in light of his recent output, it's hard to think of a more remarkable career than that of Nicolas Cage. The man has had insanely high highs such as his Oscar-winning performance in "Leaving Las Vegas" and his starring role in blockbuster hits like "National Treasure." He's played a Marvel Comics superhero (Ghost Rider), he's starred in more direct-to-video movies than anyone can possibly recall, and he's turned in some legendarily wacky performances (see: "Vampire's Kiss"). He even battled himself in the summer of 1997.

The point is, Cage has had an amazing career that has recently revived itself in a huge way as of late thanks to stellar performances in movies like "Pig" and "The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent." Yet,...

Netflix Cancels Animated Comedy Series ‘Inside Job,’ Reversing Season 2 Renewal Decision
Image
The animated comedy series Inside Job has been canceled by Netflix after just one season.

The news was confirmed by showrunner Shion Takeuchi on Twitter. This decision is a reversal of the announcement last summer that the series would be renewed for a second season.

I’m sorry guys, it’s true.#insidejob pic.twitter.com/MQZJ3S7gRD

— Shion Takeuchi (@shhhhhionn) January 9, 2023

Fans of the show expressed their disappointment. One viewer said, “It was such a great show. I’m so bummed we’re not getting more. But that’s one hell of a season. Everyone who worked on it should be proud as heck.”

Another said, “We need to Community this back into existence,” referring to the fan reception to the ending of the six-season sitcom Community.

Inside Job is an adult comedy about Cognito Inc. employees Reagan Ridley (Lizzy Caplan) and Brett Hand (Clark Duke). The pair...

Inside Job: Season Two Cancelled Despite Netflix's Renewal of Animated Series
Once upon a time, fans could relax once their show had been renewed for another season. Not any longer. Several shows have had their renewals rescinded in the past week, and we now have another one. Netflix has changed its mind and cancelled the Inside Job TV series, so there won't be a second season after all.

An adult animated sci-fi comedy series, the Inside Job TV show was created by Shion Takeuchi, a former Gravity Falls writer. It stars Lizzy Caplan, Christian Slater, and Clark Duke, with Andrew Daly, Bobby Lee, John Dimaggio, Tisha Campbell, and Brett Gelman. The story revolves around the shadow government and the dysfunctional team whose daily grind is committing the world's conspiracies -- from convoluted coverups to secret societies to masked orgy etiquette. However, navigating the office culture at Cognito Inc. can...

Will There Be An Inside Job Season 2?
Image
The new streaming strategy of canceling shows that have already been renewed is here to stay. It's a heartless cost-cutting tactic, but it's one that's been employed more than once now by both Warner Bros. Discovery and Netflix. While the former canceled HBO Max's "Minx" after giving season 2 the greenlight and pulled TBS' "Chad" from the lineup right before it aired, the latter may have started the trend when it axed "Glow" in a stunning reversal of a previously announced renewal.

Now, Netflix is at it again with "Inside Job." The animated comedy about a company that manufactures global conspiracies aired a two-part, 18-episode first season across 2021 and 2022, and then it earned a second season renewal last June. But now series creator Shion Takeuchi has confirmed on Twitter that "Inside Job" is joining the great big cancelled shows pasture in the sky, as its second season isn't happening after all.

‘Inside Job’ Canceled by Netflix After One Season, Creator Says ‘I’m Heartbroken’
Image
Netflix has swung the axe on “Inside Job,” the adult-animation conspiracy comedy, after one season, according to creator and showrunner Shion Takeuchi.

Takeuchi, a writer on “Gravity Falls” and other shows, announced the cancellation Sunday evening on Twitter. “I’m heartbroken to confirm that Netflix has decided to cancel Season 2 of ‘Inside Job,'” she wrote. “Over the years, these characters have become real people to me, and I am devastated not to be able to watch them grow up.”

A Netflix rep confirmed that Season 2 of “Inside Job” was canceled. The streamer had announced the show’s renewal for a second season last June.

“Inside Job,” a sendup of ’90s sci-fi drama “The X-Files,” stars Lizzy Caplan, Christian Slater and Clark Duke. The show was co-executive produced by Takeuchi and “Gravity Falls” creator Alex Hirsch.

The first half of “Inside Job” (10 episodes) premiered on Netflix in October 2021, and the...

15 Comedies That Failed Despite Their All-Star Casts
Image
Fans of comedy films everywhere rejoice when they get word of a new one coming out filled with some notable actors. Those lovable movies that have complete all-star casts from top to bottom. A lot of the time, they find major success like Anchorman, Superbad, or Bridesmaids.

However, that's unfortunately not always the case. There have been plenty of occasions where a comedy movie drops with a loaded cast only to miss the mark. It could fail because it bombs at the box office or because it gets critically panned. The cast could be filled with great comedic talents or even Oscar winners in some cases.

Updated on December 2nd, 2022, by Kevin Pantoja: In the world of comedy, there are times when a movie doesn't have to be great and it can still be funny because of the talented cast. Certain stars are hilarious no matter what they're given to work with.

The 14 Best Ryan Reynolds Movies, Ranked
Image
Ryan Reynolds has pioneered the type of fast-talking, quippy characters that seem to be so popular with today's mainstream audiences. It's somewhat ironic that Reynolds is finding so much success right now because, for years, it seemed like he was doomed to be one of those great actors that nobody took seriously.

Reynolds appeared in several disastrous comic book movies that fell way beneath fans' expectations. He's not particularly bad in "Blade: Trinity," "X-Men Origins: Wolverine," or "Green Lantern," but the films did not give him the type of recurring roles that best suited his talents. However, "Deadpool" gave Reynolds a chance to both do his best work and reflect on his earlier failures. It's a testament to his belief in the project that "Deadpool" finally became the success that he had always suspected it would be. Following the positive reception to the film, Reynolds joined additional franchises with "Free Guy,...
