Christopher Sabat has been the voice actor of Vegeta since Dragon Ball Z, and has garnered a huge fan following due to his talent and suitability to the role. Needless to say, he is also the voice actor of Vegeta in Dragon Ball Super. Unfortunately for the voice actor, his favorite line has not been animated yet.
Dragon Ball Super has been on a break since March 2018 (Japanese air date). It has been seven years already, and there has been no update about the anime’s return. The manga itself has been on an indefinite hiatus after Akira Toriyama passed away in March 2024.

Will Arnett’s new animated superhero comedy, Super Team Canada, is set to premiere on May 16 on the Canadian streaming service Crave. The show arrives at a time when tensions between the U.S. and Canada are rising due to a trade conflict.
The series follows six Canadian superheroes as they try to save the world from giant evil robots, a jobless octopus, and an overly clingy hardware store clerk. The characters are not the most famous heroes, but when the world’s more well-known protectors are trapped or defeated, this unlikely group must step up.
Arnett voices Breakaway, a former minor league hockey player who fights crime using his skates, hockey stick, and special pucks. Other cast members include Cobie Smulders as Niagara Falls, Kevin McDonald as the Canadian prime minister, and Charles Demers as Poutine, a French Canadian crime fighter.

When it comes to the X-Men, it doesn't get bigger - or better - than Wolverine. As Logan himself said in Deadpool and Wolverine, he is the X-Man. The truth is that when the vast majority of us think about Marvel's Mightiest Mutants, "Wolvie" is the first one that comes to mind - and that really says a lot about his popularity because he's technically not even the leader of the iconic team.
There is a lot to love about the character, even if you have to look beyond his gruff exterior. Renowned for his monosyllabic conversations, perpetual bad mood, adamantium skeleton and razor sharp claws, Logan has endured over the years to become not just one of the most popular Marvel Comics characters of all time, but one of the biggest pop-culture phenomenons in history.
That's largely due to how successfully has has translated to other mediums, particularly TV and film.

The isekai anime genre gets a bad reputation, and to be fair, it might be more than justified. Many of the most popular entries in this genre are rather infamous among anime fans, and this is usually because of their perceived lack of quality. Despite these connotations, there are many of these shows that deserve at least some of the praise they've garnered.
From weird reincarnations to lovable losers, some of the most despised isekai are still great examples of the genre. They may not feature award-winning writing and can involve some rather problematic tropes, but they're not nearly as bad as the haters make them out to be. Most importantly, they tend to perfectly illustrate the fun inherent in the isekai genre, even if that means reveling in some of its excesses.

Shōnen anime are often viewed as more simplistic than anime of other genres. By extension, this perspective leads the characters in even the best works in the genre to be viewed as bland and generic. However, every Shōnen fan is well-aware that this couldn't be farther from the truth.
While lower-quality Shōnen anime naturally feature weaker characters, heroes like Killua Zoldyck and Edward Elric prove that Shōnen characters can be as complex as any others. Some possess depth from the very start, while others have series-spanning character arcs that keep viewers hooked from start to finish. These 10 characters have the best development in Shōnen anime, with the changes they underwent having left fans in awe.

It's always a grim, bloody affair when an anime character gets themselves killed. Depending on the character and the circumstances of their demise, though, fans may have totally different reactions. While some deaths are tragic and heartbreaking, other deaths may give viewers a sense of relief. That is usually the case when villains meet their fate, often as punishment for all their terrible misdeeds.
Notably, some anime villains were missed when they died, so not all villains are total monsters who deserve to die, but plenty still did. Anime fans couldn't help but say "good riddance" to the most twisted, sadistic, and/or annoying anime antagonists or side characters of all time. The death of those characters prevented them from destroying the world or victimizing more people, and it also meant anime fans didn't have to put up with their noxious, grating behavior any longer.

The first teaser trailer for James Gunn’s Superman is out, and it makes a very sneaky nod to Dragon Ball. Dragon Ball and Superman have always had a lot of overlap thanks to their sci-fi themes and the blatant similarities between Goku and Superman, and while that often sparks arguments between the two fandoms, it often leads to just as much camaraderie between the fandoms, even on a creative level.
The overlap between Dragon Ball and Superman is undeniable, and James Gunn’s Superman is, surprisingly, the latest work to bring it up. The first teaser trailer for the film opens with an injured Superman lying in a crater, and with how his body is positioned, the teaser trailer for James Gunn’s Superman might have referenced Dragon Ball by putting Superman in Yamcha’s iconic death pose.

Dragon Ball Super's Toyotarou Releases New Artwork of Official Comedy Series Featuring Goku & Vegeta
Official Dragon Ball Super artist Toyotarou has revealed a brand-new illustration showcasing characters from another classic Akira Toriyama franchise set within the same universe. Part of an ongoing V Jump project showcasing original Dragon Ball and Akira Toriyama-related artwork by Toyotarou, the new illustration marks something of a revival of an iconic Akira Toriyama parody spin-off that originally ran from 1999 to 2005.
Toyotarou has created original illustrations celebrating Toriyama's rich universe and its extended works for each V Jump issue. For this latest release, the Super artist turned his attention to Nekomajin -- a series starring the magical race of titular cat-like beings -- which playfully lampoons Dragon Ball canon. Translating to "magical cat" or "cat genie," Neko Majin are mischievous yet powerful creatures whose antics serve as the perfect foil to the classic shonen franchise's usual intensity.

The isekai genre is very popular, not to mention successful, but it isn't always beloved. For as big as some entries in the genre have gotten, many of these are rather criticized by those who don't quite like how ubiquitous reincarnation anime have gotten. Thankfully, there are some isekai works that are consistently incredible examples of the genre, both to fans and critics.
Avoiding the traps of the isekai genre, these anime are must-watch shows through and through. This is largely due to them not being strung along for multiple seasons, with the best of these being more concise works. Regardless of their length, these isekai are fantastic anime from start to finish, especially compared to other isekai.

Frieza has a long history with the Saiyans that dates back to before the earliest episodes of Dragon Ball, before Goku or Vegeta were even born. In fact, Frieza was the main reason Goku got sent to Earth to begin with: Bardock only sent his son away as a means to escape Frieza's destruction of Planet Vegeta. In that way, Frieza was the source of his own downfall on Namek in Dbz, because that same low-class Saiyan boy ended up becoming a Super Saiyan and defeating him.
As poetic as Frieza's original defeat by Goku was, there's still some unfinished business left between Frieza and Vegeta that should finally be settled in Dragon Ball Super. Unlike Goku, who was still too young to remember his family or his life as a Saiyan before he was sent to planet Earth, Vegeta was a different story.

The Scooby-Doo franchise marked its 55th anniversary this September, and it's genuinely hard to keep track with all the different TV series, specials, and movies (both theatrical and mostly direct-to-video or for TV). Despite all of that and more than half a century of media, only two actors have canonically played Shaggy, the delightfully raspy Bff of the titlular Great Dane. First came the legendary DJ Casey Kasem, who voiced the character for something like 372 episodes of television and 14 made-for-tv movies. Then there was Matthew Lillard, who first joined the franchise in the form of star-studded live-action movies before becoming the voice actor behind Shaggy for approximately 27 direct-to-video movies, eight TV specials, and 156 TV episodes. There is technically one more Shaggy out there...

Some shonen anime give all they've got after just one viewing, such as if they're centered around a simple twist or gimmick that is only entertaining the first time around. In other cases, a shonen anime feels depleted after one viewing because they're just mediocre and aren't worth the time to rewatch. Such series may feel old and pass after just a few years, but not every shonen anime ends up like that. Fortunately for shonen fans, plenty of series stand the test of time and never get old.

Anime remakes and reboots have increasingly become common in the past few decades, with several classics given new iterations. This is usually done because the original animated adaptation was found lacking in some way or was too divergent from the manga source material. Despite how popular this trend might be, there are several iconic anime that should never be remade from scratch.
These works are simply too iconic and well-known, with their original anime having defined the genre for generations. Likewise, remaking them will only invite unnecessary comparisons to what has come before, putting a target on the back of these projects. As a result, it's best to let the classic takes on these stories be the only versions, namely if they're part of continuing franchises, anyway.

The Dragon Ball franchise is one of the most popular anime and manga brands in the world, but it's always held immense popularity in its home country of Japan. Most recently, this fandom has been displayed by one of the country's governing officials, and the result was certainly "sweet."
Shigeru Ishiba is the next prime minister of Japan, but for one event, he was also the dastardly, sweet-loving Majin Buu. Best known as the ultimate villain in Dragon Ball Z, the foe's pink, corpulent form became Ishiba's business suit for an opening ceremony. While the choice of clothing might not have been planned on his part, it goes to show just how popular the franchise is despite turning 40 years old in 2024.

Dragon Ball Z introduced the iconic rivalry between Goku and Vegeta that many fans can't get enough of, even if some of their battles across the franchise are lacking compared to the heights their best fights reach. The two Saiyans began their relationship as brutal enemies, but they transformed into more powerful warriors, rivals, and some would even say friends throughout Dragon Ball Z, Super, and Gt. Friends that often punch, kick, and shoot lasers at each other for the entertainment of fans.
The super-powered rivals have battled many times since Vegeta was introduced in the first arcs of Dragon Ball Z. Dragon Ball Super had the pair training among gods and sparring with each other consistently, but five battles between Goku and Vegeta ranked among some of the franchise's best fights. However, some of those fights have been caused by exterior forces manipulating Vegeta's considerable power, and it's been...

Toyotarou, the Dragon Ball Super manga artist, has once again illustrated his take on the most famous characters created by the late Akira Toriyama. This time, Toyotarou depicts a lesser-known hero from one of Toriyama's Shonen Jump stories.
The official Dragon Ball website revealed Toyotarou's latest artwork based on the creative library of Toriyama. Toki, a young warrior from the one-shot manga Kintoiki - Toki of the Golden Eyes, is the subject of Toyotarou's artwork. Gon Freecss is the young, wide-eyed hero of Hunter X Hunter. An incredibly powerful Enhancer, Gon has shown the potential to one day become one of the most powerful characters in his world. However, even when at his peak in the Chimera Ant Arc, he's still on the weaker side of Nen users.
Gon isn't one of the strongest characters in Hunter X Hunter, and his failures have led to his extended absence from the series, but maybe he'd do better in the world of another anime. Nen is one of the most complex power systems in any anime and, with it, he could have the edge he needs to survive in the worlds of series like Dragon Ball, One Piece, and Chainsaw Man. Alternatively, Gon's relatively low strength and extreme immaturity could cost him once again.

This includes the iconic four-star Dragon Ball placed on a pillow, similar to how it was first seen in chapter one of the original manga. While the quality of shorter anime can be easily judged as a whole, the reception towards arcs of longer-running anime can vary wildly. Fans of series like Dragon Ball Z, Naruto, and Sailor Moon can often spend hours debating which arcs are better than others. Even more difficult than deciding the best arc in a single series is choosing which arcs are the best of all time.
The best arcs in anime span a multitude of genres and tones, such as battle Shnen, mecha, magical girl, and sports. These arcs feature the strongest storytelling, character work, thematic cohesion, and overall impact in the entire medium. Note that some of the best anime of all time, such as Cowboy Bebop, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, and Puella Magi Madoka Magica, are either too short to contain multiple arcs, or don't follow an arc-based structure, disqualifying them from being included.

Newly posted artwork of Dragon Ball's Goku recalls a touching collaboration between franchise creator Akira Toriyama and One Piece's Eiichiro Oda. The image was recently posted to the Toriyama Archives on Dragon Ball's official website.
Toriyama's drawing shows Dragon Ball's protagonist Goku with a happy and lively expression as he holds up a computer mouse. The image was made as a front cover illustration draft for a beginner's guide to drawing manga digitally -- a book created in collaboration between Toriyama and Oda. In the book, the two legendary manga artists would make digital drawings and explain to readers how to color the pieces digitally. According to the now-deleted Toriyama Archives post, which was made available on the site for only 24 hours, the original image was released on Feb. 28, 2002.

While it is widely said that you shouldn't judge a book by its cover, this doesn't mean that the cover isn't a crucial part of a physical media release. A good cover helps get a product noticed on the shelf and draws in customers who may not have heard of the show or film before, increasing the chance of impulse purchases.
However, picking the perfect cover design can be tricky as it can be hard to work out how to convey an entire story in a single image. On top of this, some studios bend the truth with their covers, hoping that a creative addition or omission will be enough to get people to part with their hard-earned cash. Due to this, anime history is full of physical releases with misleading covers, but which are most likely to have fans asking for a refund?...

Across the anime world, tsunderes are a very common character type for love interests and protagonists. They tend to be very surly and harsh to everyone around them except for their love interest. They can also be the reverse, where they're kind and decent by default, but the one person who riles their temper the most ends up as their love interest.
For the latter kind of tsundere, it's generally because they're confused by their feelings and don't understand that it's love, or they're afraid of being vulnerable. Often, neither dynamic makes for a very healthy love interest. Even the most toxic tsundere love interests are wildly entertaining, though. They tend to have an acerbic sense of humor that audiences love, and fans love it when tsunderes finally soften their hearts.

Rivals work hard to surpass heroes, testing their limits, but often fall short despite fan support. Heroes like Vegeta and Bakugo matured to rival their counterparts, deserving to win onscreen. Seto Kaiba and L proved to be better duelists and detectives respectively, but fate sided against them.
Every anime hero has a bitter rival. While they're not exactly villains, these rivals are just as determined (or even more so) as the hero's actual enemies to defeat them. Despite their best efforts and strongest attacks, anime rivals are often fated to lose to their respective heroes. This, surprisingly, didn't stop their fans from rooting for them.
By pure luck, anime rivals often become their show's dark horse because of the sheer amount of hard work they put into defeating their more wholesome counterpart. Because of this, their fans believed that they should've won and surpassed the hero a long time ago.

Vegeta is shonen anime's most iconic deuteragonist. In comparison to most of the Z Fighters though, Vegeta is actually one of the newer additions to the team, having only been introduced in Dragon Ball Z. Nevertheless, he quickly became a fan-favorite character due to his taking the central role in some of the greatest moments in the Dragon Ball franchise.
Much of Vegeta's journey in Dbz was about humbling himself as he struggled to catch up to Goku's power as a Super Saiyan. Along the way, Vegeta engages in many incredible battles that have become just as memorable for fans as Goku's biggest fights. In some ways, Vegeta's more aggressive, merciless style of combat is even more entertaining to watch than Goku's.

Goku is one of anime's most iconic and instantly recognizable characters. During his story, Dragon Ball's legendary Saiyan warrior has taken part in many memorable battles, facing off against many foes, from long-term rivals to creatures that vanish from the story as quickly as they appear. However, in this massive list of battles, some stand out for being better than the rest.
While all the fights in Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball Super are fun, some go above and beyond, delivering a viewing experience unlike anything else, presenting audiences with battles that will stick with them long after the episode concludes. These battles are often vastly different from the franchise's usual fare, using unique combat styles, set pieces, or plot points to keep the action fresh, meaning they stand out even more.
