Christopher Doyle was born on 2 May 1952 in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. He is a cinematographer and actor, known for Paranoid Park (2007), Hero (2002) and 2046 (2004).
I left Australia when I was 18 and I've been a foreigner for 36 years.
I think that's very important to the way I work because as a foreigner
you see things differently. But I started making Chinese-language films
so I regard myself as a Chinese filmmaker. I just happen to be white.
