Joe is best known for his work in commercials, as well as his work in the New York and Los Angeles Theatre scene. He's appeared in several dozen commercials, many of which have appeared on The World's Funniest Commercials Specials, and have gone on to win awards.

A graduate of LA's Groundlings, and the esteemed Circle In The Square Theatre School in NYC, Joe made his Off-Broadway debut in Theatre-A-Go-Go's hit production of Valley of the Dolls, a stage version of the classic cult movie. He also appeared with David Schwimmer in the Los Angeles production of Roger Kumble's dark comedy, D-Girl. Joe was also a founding member of Tom Booker's Theatre-A-Go-Go, where he appeared in several of the companies hits, including Manson: The Musical and You, Me, and LSD.

His TV credits include guest spots on Drew Carey, Primetime Glick and Melrose Place. Joe also appeared in Todd Hayne's acclaimed independent feature, Poison, as well as the 80s dance spoof, Can't Stop Dancing, with Noah Wyle, Margaret Cho and Fred Willard. He also co-wrote, co-directed and starred in the indie comedy, The Thin Pink Line, which featured Mike Meyers, David Schwimmer, Jennifer Anniston, and Jason Priestley, among others.

An established writer and director, Joe as co-written several pilots for television and co-wrote and co-directed the short films, Santa: Portrait of a Serial Killer, Renee Turns Forty, and The Mezzos, a project originating out of Fox Searchlight's Young Director's Lab, which went on to become a hit on the festival circuit, and was selected for Logo's Best of Short Films Click List.
