Danny's agent at the time and talent coordinator for Ed Sullivan, Mark Leddy, snuck a kinescope of Danny's appearance on the Garry Moore Show earlier in the year into the stack of tapes for Sullivan to review. Sullivan was taken with Danny's likeness to Bing Crosby and decided to introduce Danny as Bing Crosby to try and fool the audience. Danny wasn't happy with that idea but he went along with it. In addition to appearing on the Ed Sullivan Show in September of 1957, he appeared on these TV shows: Garry Moore Show,Tonight Show with Jack Paar.

From the time it opened in 1989 until his death, he appeared as streetmosphere character Sid Cahuenga at the Disney-MGM Studios (now Disney Hollywood Studios) at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. His wife, Pam Brody, also performed at WDW, at the Rose and Crown pub in the British section of Epcot.
