Honey Don’t! Cast: Is Chris Evans Playing a Villain in Margaret Qualley’s Upcoming August 22 Release
Image
Chris Evans has been stepping away from his star-spangled, Captain America persona and now entering a far darker terrain in Honey Don’t! In Ethan Coen’s neo-noir, Evans takes on the role of Reverend Drew Devlin, a smooth-talking but unhinged cult leader. In the trailer, we see him preaching to his followers with great intensity and shouting his lines at the top of his voice.

The unsettling glimpses of Evans from Honey Don’t! suggests that he might have taken a villainous turn this time, and it’s unlike anything audiences have seen from him before. The movie follows Margaret Qualley’s Honey O’Donahue, a private investigator who’s entangled in a suspicious death case.

Now, only the movie can tell if Evans’ character is behind the murder, but before you tune in, here’s everything you need to know about the cast and the potential streaming details for Honey Don’t!

Stars: Meredith VanCuyk, Joey Heyworth, Missy Jane, Cortney Davis, Sean Dillingham, George Nelson, Brenda Jean Foley | Written by Scott Gore, Matt Midgette | Directed by Mitesh Kumar Patel

Gabbi Reynolds has been sent to check some property the developer she works for has bought near Jerome, the largest ghost town in Arizona. That lets Woman in the Maze’s director Mitesh Kumar Patel open the film with a long shot of Gabbi driving a corvette convertible through the scenic desert to the mansion she’s rented as a song that makes you want to shove ice picks in your ears plays.

After fielding a phone call from a friend and telling her the place isn’t haunted, “It’s even bigger than the pictures on the website, and it’s dirt cheap”, usually sure signs a house is infested with ghosts, she immediately starts hearing strange noises and her reflection in...

In Falling For Christmas, Lindsay Lohan is the best part of this holiday ham

(From left) Lindsay Lohan as Sierra, Chord Overstreet as Jake in Falling For Christmas Photo: Netflix It may not surprise you to learn that Falling For Christmas, starring Lindsay Lohan, is not a good movie. Yet, endearingly, nobody involved pretends that it is, and they do their best anyway. The actors understand the assignment,...

‘Falling for Christmas’ Review: Lindsay Lohan Comeback Is Strictly Ho Ho-Hum for the Holidays
Image
Click here to read the full article.

If you’re going to do an Overboard knockoff that slides into the generic sludge of sentimental holiday-season rom-com, then at least find a couple of leads with the charisma and chemistry to pull it off. Unless you’re feverish with excitement at the prospect of Lindsay Lohan’s screen comeback — and if you are, I’m sorry for your life — Falling for Christmas won’t give you much pleasure beyond the recollection of Goldie and Kurt’s fractious, frisky rapport in the 1987 favorite about an obnoxious amnesiac heiress who falls for a blue-collar misogynist. As a model for stars with terrific comedy chops elevating mediocre material, there are worse starting points.

This sub-Hallmark dreck made by a bunch of hacks that don’t deserve to be named is the first film out of Lohan’s Netflix deal and her first feature in three years.

Lindsay Lohan is Back in Skiing RomCom 'Falling for Christmas' Trailer
Image
"They're probably out looking for you right now." Netflix has revealed the trailer for a romantic comedy called Falling for Christmas, marking the directorial debut of a producer named Janeen Damian. This looks like a Hallmark channel holiday movie, with a few extra wacky jokes thrown in (that racoon bit at the end what?!?!). A newly engaged, spoiled hotel heiress falls into a freak skiing accident, and awakens with total amnesia. She finds herself in the care of a handsome, blue-collar lodge owner and his precocious daughter in the days leading up to Christmas. This features a script that almost feels like was specifically written for Lindsay Lohan, playing up the "you have to forgot about someone fancy and famous to rediscover them" angle quite a damn bit. But it does look somewhat amusing. In addition to Lohan, cast also includes Chord Overstreet, George Young, Jack Wagner, Olivia Perez, Alejandra Flores,...

Sounds fun, right?

Lohan stars opposite Chord Overstreet.

The cast is rounded out by George Young, Jack Wagner, Olivia Perez, Alejandra Flores, Chase Ramsey, Sean Dillingham, and Antonio D. Charity.

Lohan plays Sierra, someone the actress describes as “Extravagant. Temperamental. Glamorous," in an interview with Tudum.

“Christmas is a time when family comes together,” she continues. “It’s just such a loving holiday.”

‘Alien Sniperess’ Review
Image
Stars: Olivia Okoro, Sean Laguna, Alaina Laethem, Camille Kerber, Mark Speno, Sean Dillingham | Written and Directed by Joseph Mbah

Like so many other films before it, Alien Sniperess begins with a meteor shower. And with someone ignoring the warnings of films such as The Blob, Night of the Creeps and Creepshow by getting way too close to one that manages to make it to Earth only to find out it’s not just a chunk of rock.

Elsewhere, Army sniper Chioma (Olivia Okoro) has just found out her boyfriend was in a car accident on his way to propose to her. He promptly dies after giving her the ring and getting her to take his younger brother Aaron (Sean Laguna) to his grandparents “up North”. Her friends Kelly (Alaina Laethem) and Liz (Camille Kerber) offer to come along for support.

Writer/director Joseph Mbah sets things up quickly and economically,...

‘Battlefield 2025’ DVD Review
Image
Stars: Jose Rosete, Anna Harr, Dustin Leighton, Caleb Thomas, Alaina Laethem, Adam Michael Gold, Titus Covington, Sean Dillingham, Santiago Craig, Becky Jo Harris, Nathaniel Burns, Brandon Hannifin, Rene Barraza Jr., Cathy Rankin, Richard Lipper | Written by Robert Conway, Joseph Mbah | Directed by Joseph Mbah

Frequent collaborators Jospeh Mbah and Robert Conway, the duo behind the likes of Expo and Krampus Origins, retreat for a sci-fi movie that apparently expands on two short “Paradox Universe” films Mbah made in 2018.

Battlefield 2025 tells the story of small-town America, a small town in Arizona to be precise, where weekend campers, an escaped convict, young lovers and a police officer all get entangled in an alien invasion, experiencing a night of terror when a hostile visitor from another world arrives… Did I say arrives? That’s technically true, even if the alien crash lands – as usual in these types of movies!
