The Lincoln Lawyer Season 4: Cast, Plot And More Confirmed Details
Image
"The Lincoln Lawyer" is on the road yet again for its fourth season. Based on the popular book series by Michael Connelly and previously adapted into one of Matthew McConaughey's best films, the Netflix series follows the defense attorney Mickey Haller as he travels through Los Angeles from the backseat of his signature Lincoln Navigator. Created for TV by veteran scribe David E. Kelley and adapted by Ted Humphrey, the series has become one of Netflix's most anticipated shows and has been greenlit for an increasingly rare fourth season.

Each season so far has adapted a different book in the Lincoln Lawyer series, skipping the first novel (presumably in hopes of not retreading any ground covered by the McConaughey film) to adapt "The Brass Verdict" in season 1, "The Fifth Witness" in season 2, and "The Gods of Guilt" in season 3. Season 4 is set to adapt the sixth book in the series,...

'My Satisfaction Is Irrelevant': Former Lincoln Lawyer Star Opens Up on 'Unexpected' Series Exit
Image
Netflix officially renewed the legal drama The Lincoln Lawyer for Season 4, a few months after the release of the latest installment. However, not all members will return.

Shortly after the renewal, it was revealed that The Lincoln Lawyer would go on without a key character, Yaya DaCosta's Andrea Freedman. The actress made her debut on the legal show in Season 2, impressing everyone with her court battle against main character Mickey Haller (Manuel Garcia-Rulfo), and she returned as a main character in Season 3, as her story further deepened and she became Mickey's love interest. In a new interview with TV Insider, DaCosta opened up about her shocking exit and teased that fans might see her again.

'The Lincoln Lawyer' Casts 'Rizzoli & Isles' and 'NCIS' Alum Sasha Alexander as FBI Agent
Image
Netflix’s The Lincoln Lawyer just added some serious firepower for Season 4. Sasha Alexander, known for her roles on Rizzoli & Isles and NCIS, has joined the hit legal drama in a recurring role as FBI Agent Dawn Ruth. Described as “no-nonsense” and “intimidating,” Agent Ruth won’t be knocking politely on any doors, that's for sure. According to Netflix’s official character description, she and a colleague crash one of Mickey Haller’s dinners to deliver a thinly veiled threat: drop your FBI investigation… or face the consequences. As we know, that will put her squarely at odds with Manuel Garcia-Rulfo’s lead character, the slick defense attorney at the center of The Lincoln Lawyer, who is more used to dealing with courtroom drama than FBI pressure.

Created for television by David E. Kelley, The Lincoln Lawyer is based on the novels by Michael Connelly and follows Haller as he...

Production for Season 4 of Netflix’s legal drama “The Lincoln Lawyer” has officially commenced in Los Angeles. The series, starring Manuel Garcia-Rulfo as defense attorney Mickey Haller, continues to captivate audiences with its adaptation of Michael Connelly’s novels.

Season 3 of The Lincoln Lawyer may have left everything up in the air in its shocking finale — but you can breathe a sigh of relief, because Mickey Haller (Manuel Garcia-Rulfo) isn’t the kind of guy to leave you hanging on that cliff forever.

Huge success of Lincoln Lawyer will continue with Season 4
Image
Making a good TV series based on a very successful film, with a different actor in the main role, is often a formidable task that often falls short of the original intention - catching the attention of potential viewers.

Well, not in the case of Netflix’s series version of the Lincoln Lawyer movie (2011), which starred Matthew McConaughey, as its three seasons so far have proved to be a huge audience success, set to continue with season 4.

Not only was actor Manuel Garcia-Rulfo a good fit for the role, but some swift script solutions, a good set of actors, and tricky cliffhangers to every season so far made the series work, and the audiences reacted promptly.

Lincoln Lawyer Season 4 is shaping up to be great

Now, the series based on the novels by Michael Connelly about Los Angeles’ defense attorney who devotes everything to his job is set to face...

Fans of 'The Lincoln Lawyer' get some great news from Netflix
Image
The Lincoln Lawyer has been somewhat of a surprise success on Netflix. The show was created by David E. Kelley, who has had a long run of success in television, but that does not mean that every show he touches turns to gold. Plus, The Lincoln Lawyer was an idea that seemed done, and who knew if anyone would want to watch.

Netflix took a chance in 2022 that the series would be at least a moderate success. It might have exceeded the streamer's expectations. Star Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, who plays Mickey Haller, had been in a bunch of movies and shows, but could he carry a series? As it turns out, he could.

The series follows an attorney who runs a law firm literally out of the back of his car, as he takes on cases of all sizes in Los Angeles. Sounds simple, sure, but also sounds like there could...

'The Lincoln Lawyer's Star Promises Long Lasting Effects of Eddie's Death: It's a "Huge Scar on Mickey"
Image
Of all the curveballs that The Lincoln Lawyer throws at viewers in Season 3, the biggest one was the fate of a newcomer who, for all we knew, was just getting started in the series. Eddie Rojas (Allyn Moriyon) took over the Lincoln driving duties from Izzy (Jazz Raycole) and developed a funny and easy-going dynamic with Mickey (Manuel Garcia-Rulfo). Just when we were getting used to Eddie, though, the series pulled a Game of Thrones and killed him out of nowhere. During an interview with Netflix's Tudum, Moriyon spoke up about his character's terrible fate.

The Lincoln Lawyer & Bosch Won't Crossover Says Showrunner
Image
The Lincoln Lawyer writer, executive producer, and co-showrunner Dailyn Rodriguez just broke the news many of us kinda sorta already knew but had hoped wouldn't be true. Mickey Haller and Harry Bosch won't be meeting onscreen despite their coexistence in the same fictional universe the books of Michael Connelly. In fact, Haller and Bosch are half-brothers, sharing a father, J. Michael Haller, and the two both work in LA. So you would think that bringing them together would be inevitable, but as Rodriguez told MovieWeb, "As of right now, we don't see any way that we can have a crossover."

She went on to detail the more behind-the-scenes IP reasons for this:

"It's just two platforms [Netflix and Amazon] owning two different properties, and it sucks. That being said, I mean, our version of Mickey Haller is maybe slightly lighter than the books, and I think we [could] figure out a way to bring Bosch,...

'You're Supposed to Feel Sad': The Lincoln Lawyer Showrunner Explains Season 3 Character Death
Image
The Season 3 premiere of The Lincoln Lawyer confirmed there's a clear threat to Mickey Haller's life. Audiences expected events to escalate but were still blindsided by the ending of Episode 5.

Showrunner Ted Humphrey said they considered extending Eddie Rojas' storyline in The Lincoln Lawyer. Eddie (played by Allyn Moriyon) was introduced in Season 3 as Hayley Haller's old babysitter, now her father Mickey's new driver. Eddie became a fan favorite despite his undeveloped arc, fueling hope he would become a recurring (or mainstay) character in the series. That was dashed in Episode 5's shocking ending, however. Eddie's death came out of the blue, and Humphrey said the audience response was warranted. Humphrey told Screen Rant they chose to play out Eddie's death and its outcome.

The Lincoln Lawyer (Season 3): Recap & Ending Explained – Who Killed Glory Days?
David E. Kelley at an event for Star Trek (2009)
The Ted Humphrey-created, and David E. Kelley executive-produced series “The Lincoln Lawyer” finally returns for season 3. Adapted from Michael Connelly’s series of books about the titular Lincoln Lawyer, Mickey Haller, the show is a ratings hit on Netflix precisely because it is both an old-school throwback to network TV legal dramas, with an added sheen afforded to Netflix shows. It almost emulates the “sunny blue-skies era” of the USA Network, which made “Suits” get a gigantic second wind when it dropped on Netflix.

Most importantly after the success of “Bosch” on Prime Video and its spinoff on the sister channel Freevee, Netflix wanted to hop on the Connelly bandwagon. While “The Lincoln Lawyer” isn’t as good as “Bosch,” it has a consistency in terms of story and vibe and perfectly dependable filmmaking that allows it to be a streamable experience, even as the show fumbled majorly in the second season.
