Bold and the Beautiful recap for Thursday, July 17 saw Bill bringing his son home and Sheila wishing she did more. Miracles, mystery, and regret were center stage during this shady episode.
What You Missed Today On Bold and the Beautiful
Finn (Tanner Novlan) and Bridget (Ashley Jones) were equally as worried about Liam (Scott Clifton) being taken from the hospital, but agreed Bill (Don Diamond) would provide him with the best care. That’s something at least. It didn’t stop them from wondering why and what was really going on. Finn decided to call his wife and tell her what was going on while Bridget made several calls trying to track down Dr. Buckingham.
Over at the office, Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and Hope (Annika Noelle) updated each other about what they knew so far. No updates on Liam yet from Finn but Hope shared that Sheila lost another toe.

In the early 1970s, American filmmakers started a new genre of film in ‘Blaxploitation’. These films were mostly black casts and made for black audiences. Most of these films were known for their violence and sexual content. The term ‘blaxploitation’ was coined by the president of the Beverly Hills–Hollywood branch of the NAACP, Junius Griffin, in 1972. The same year Hit Man was released. This year sees the film celebrate its 53rd anniversary. Now, for this anniversary, Warner Archive Collection have restored this film and released it on Blu-ray for the first time!
Tyrone Tackett’s brother wasn’t the kind of man to throw his life away. Somebody killed him, plain and simple.

If you were a child who grew up in the 1950s, you were most likely familiar with a Western hero named Kit Carson. Between the years 1951 and 1956, The Adventures of Kit Carson was syndicated on television. The 30-minute adventure Western followed the escapades of the titular gunslinger Kit Carson, played by Bill Williams, and his faithful companion El Toro (Don Diamond) as they ventured across the late 1800s Old West. Clad in buckskins and cowboy hats, these two merry travelers always found themselves in all sorts of trouble, but they always found their way back out of it again. While most Western television shows at the time were generally made with more adult audiences in mind (or at the very least all audiences), The Adventures of Kit Carson was generally considered a children's Western, one that rose to unfathomable popularity in its day.

F Troop was a Western-comedy that only lasted two seasons despite being a fan favorite. The show featured physical comedy and a talented cast but was likely canceled due to production costs. F Troop's unique take on Westerns and endearing characters deserved more than just two seasons.
For some, there is no worse feeling regarding media than having your favorite TV Show canceled. This is particularly true when it comes as a surprise, whether with the show still succeeding or ending mid-story. Sadly, many TV shows end too soon, which has been the case since the dawn of TV. Not everything will live on in longevity, even when it is, by most measures, a success. One such show that only lasted two seasons and got canceled while still being a fan favorite is the western-comedy F Troop.
We will reflect on the short-lived TV show, what made it stand out,...

The nominees list for the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences Board of Governors has been revealed before its June 6-10 balloting.
The candidates are hoping to fill the open seats on the 54-member board. Up to four candidates are set for the open seat at each each branch, which carries three governors with staggered terms per branch.
Board members who have termed out include Academy president David Rubin (from the casting directors branch), Jan Pascale (production designers), Mark Johnson (producers) and Nancy Utley (PR).
Candidates vying for a seat include actress Marlee Matlin, composer Hans Zimmer, and executive Toby Emmerich.
The slate faces some crucial tests once installed, including selecting a new Academy president and new CEO to replace outgoing Dawn Hudson. The Academy also must overcome perceptions created in a rocky year, with its Will Smith Oscars slap incident and the uproar over what categories would make it into the Oscars broadcast.

Fred MacMurray movies: ‘Double Indemnity,’ ‘There’s Always Tomorrow’ Fred MacMurray is Turner Classic Movies’ "Summer Under the Stars" today, Thursday, August 7, 2013. Although perhaps best remembered as the insufferable All-American Dad on the long-running TV show My Three Sons and in several highly popular Disney movies from 1959 to 1967, e.g., The Absent-Minded Professor, Son of Flubber, Boy Voyage!, MacMurray was immeasurably more interesting as the All-American Jerk. (Photo: Fred MacMurray ca. 1940.) Someone once wrote that Fred MacMurray would have been an ideal choice to star in a biopic of disgraced Republican president Richard Nixon. Who knows, the (coincidentally Republican) MacMurray might have given Anthony Hopkins a run for his Best Actor Academy Award nomination. After all, MacMurray’s most admired movie performances are those in which he plays a scheming, conniving asshole: Billy Wilder’s classic film noir Double Indemnity (1944), in which he’s seduced by Barbara Stanwyck, and Wilder...

The prolific character actor best remembered for his role as Crazy Cat from F Troop has passed away at the age of 90. Don Diamond had been fighting Parkinson's disease and other medical issues.

Diamond studied drama at the University of Michigan and later earned a commission in the Us Army Air Corps. He as fluent in Yiddish already and learned Spanish while stationed in New Mexico during the second World War.
When he was discharged in 1946, he started acting on radio and frequently played Mexicans or Spaniards. This led to him being cast in The Adventures of Kit Carson TV show and then as Corp. Reyes in the 1950s Zorro TV series. The latter would signal the start of his long association with Zorro.
