Campside Media Launches First Original Podcast; ‘White Devil’ Explores Shooting Of Henry Jemmott

Campside Media, the podcast company behind the hit Chameleon franchise, is launching its first wholly owned original series.

The Sister-backed firm is launching White Devil, the story of the shooting of Henry Jemmott, which made headlines in 2021.

It comes after Campside had previously partnered with a range of podcast distributors and networks on previous shows. It has worked with the likes of Sony, Wondery, iHeart, Audible, Apple and SmartLess on shows and has recently worked with Ballen Studios and At Will Media on its first scripted show, Run, Fool, has a multi-show deal with Tenderfoot TV, which it has also partnered on for Cop City as well as Beckham producer Ventureland as well as worked with Jessica Rhoades’ Pacesetter on Kelly and the Satanic Panic.

The Missing Scripts Of Gary DeVore: How A Podcast Helped Unearth Lost Work From Hollywood Screenwriter Who Disappeared

Gary DeVore, the screenwriter of movies including Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Raw Deal and Back Roads, starring Tommy Lee Jones and Sally Field, went missing in June 1997, sparking a major manhunt.

DeVore’s mysterious disappearance has never been truly solved and there have been a number of conspiracy theories surrounding the subject including one that the CIA may have played a role in whatever happened to him.

This story is the subject of Witnessed: Fade to Black, an eight-part podcast from Campside Media and Sony Music Entertainment, in association with Stowaway Entertainment, which premieres its season finale next week. There’s also been an interesting revelation since the show debuted; Gary’s wife Wendy DeVore recently discovered over 50 scripts and treatments, written by DeVore, and Wendy and Stowaway’s Jeff Singer are now working to see if there’s a second life for these scripts.

The fifth season of investigative podcast series Witnessed, titled Fade to Black has launched. From Campside Media and Sony Music Entertainment, in association with Stowaway Entertainment, the eight-part series focuses on the bizarre story of screenwriter Gary Devore, who disappeared in 1997. The disappearance has become the source of many conspiracy theories, including that the CIA may have played a role in whatever happened to him.

British director Tony Kaye has come on board to helm the independent crime drama “Honorable Men,” Variety has learned exclusively.

The film is being produced by Life Entertainment with producers Sam Khoze, Justin Steele, and Patrick McErlean along with the Film House and producer Ryan R. Johnson.

Kaye’s directing credits include “American History X,” “Black Water Transit,” and “Detachment.” He did not approve of the final cut of “American History X” and tried unsuccessfully to have his name removed as director of the movie, for which Edward Norton received an Oscar nomination.

I don’t know about you but sometimes when the proper mood strikes I fiend for some not stop action thrills. In order to make your lives easier I picked out some films that are worth your viewing pleasure. To keep things exciting I choose a variety of films.
