For Poste Parisien, on July 4th , he presented a radio-play: Salut Au Monde! by Walt Whitman which included music from all the countries cited in the poem. He had before done a radio-play on Fantomas.

Poet, journalist ,screenwriter, author of radio plays and ads-writer, he was member of the surrealist group . But he had differences with André Breton's leadership. He was part of the revolt against him with Georges Bataille. He became friend with Alejo Carpentier and was enamored with singer Yvonne George.
