    • Jean Desailly was born on August 24, 1920 in Paris, France. He was an actor and director, known for La Peau douce (1964), La mort de Belle (1961) and On ne badine pas avec l'amour (1955). He was married to Simone Valère and Nicole Desailly. He died on June 10, 2008 in Dourdan, Essonne, France.

  • He was awarded the prestigious Moliere acting prize in 2002.
  • From 1968 to 2001, he created with his wife Simone Valère the "compagnie Valère-Desailly" and was successively the director of three important Parisian theaters "Hébertot", "Edouard-VII", "la Madeleine".
  • With Simone Valère, he was part of "Compagnie Renaud-Barrault" from 1946 to 1968.
