When Monika left Electric Circus some 35,000 people came to her farewell final episode of the show.

In the 80s, she fronted the Top-40 band "Perfect Kiss."

Since 2002, when she returned home to Citytv, she has been a news anchor at Citytv Vancouver.

When I started 15 years ago, I chose entertainment because I wanted to break some stereotypes. Indian people were sort of put into these categories where, well, 'aren't you all doctors, accountants, and scientists?,' or 'aren't you all taxi drivers?,' well, you know, we're all these things and as a matter of fact we have the biggest film industry in the world. We do care about the arts."

Now, I think if I was still doing things that were, you know, music oriented and pop culture oriented in that way, personally, I think I'd kind of be a parody of myself. I mean, surely I've grown a little bit more than that, surely my viewers have grown a little bit more than that"

I was doing five different shows, four of them live and I was on the air seven days a week if you count the taped version of EC [Electric Circus] that ran on the weekends,

A great suit by Armani or Boss is sexy. A custom-made shirt (it's all about the fit) and tie in a dramatic colour definitely ups the ante. A tall, dark, handsome man with the initials A.B. wearing it would be sexiest! The day our first child was born, my husband ended up wearing his black Armani suit to the hospital (he came from the office) and I have to admit that when the going got tough, it was inspiring to see this incredible-looking man at my side. And then there's the other extreme, when he wears a fleece jacket and jeans with a baseball cap to coach our son's soccer team. A man who knows how to be tough and yet warm with a group of super-charged five-year-olds brings a smile to any woman's face. But the No. 1 sexiest thing about a man is the way he smells! Wearing the right scent goes a long way in establishing a man's presence and his proximity to you. As for what's not sexy: tattoos, and men over 30 who wear anything super-tight, see-through, or too trendy. A sexy man defines his clothes. They do not define him.
