Born Jessie Robert Demeo in Brooklyn NY, and raised in the Rosedale Queens area to Aldo and Amelia Demeo. Moved to Florida in 1969 with entire family. Attended Broward Community College for two years while Playing in popular So. Florida rock band Latifundia. Finished college at UMV in 1972. Jessie changed his last name to Eastland when he arrived in California in 1982.

While still in Florida, he was taking live action stills for the movie Sometimes Aunt Martha Does Dreadful Things (1971), when the director asked him if he wanted to play a main character in the film. Jessie agreed, and that would be his only acting credit in the industry, by his own choice.

When he in arrived in California, he pursued a career behind the camera, and In 2015 he completed his full-time ambitions in Hollywood, and retired to the High Desert.

As of this writing (2022) Jessie resides in Joshua Tree, California, and spends most of his time shooting the sky for his website: Skytrek.life

      His Father Aldo DeMeo was a Bailiff in Broward County Florida when Dustin Hoffman and Company came to town to film "Lenny". He was offered the opportunity to play the Bailiff in "Lenny", which he accepted. During the Acadamy Awards Show in 1974 when "Lenny" was Nominated for "Best Picture", the scene where Dustin Hoffman is dragged out of the Courtroom by Aldo DeMeo the Bailiff was chosen as the clip shown to represent the movie.
