- Was a 6 time Canadian 2 man and 4 man bobsleigh champion. As well as 1988 Winter Olympian representing Canada in bobsleigh.

- Went to Bayside Secondary School in Belleville, Ontario, Canada. Graduated from McMaster University with a BA in Economics.
- Represented Canada at the 1986 Bobsleigh World Push Championships in Riga, Latvia and won a team bronze medal.
