Chiquinquirá Delgado
Chiquinquira Delgado--better known as "Chiqui"--is a renowned Venezuelan actress and TV host/presenter. Born in Maracaibo, it was in Caracas where she developed her artistic career. Her beauty, elegance and intelligence led her to participate in the Miss Venezuela pageant in 1990, in which she was first runner up,. From there she went on to become one of the country's top runway models and later a television personality, (her first important job was as host on TV Time (1996)). By 1993 she was the face and image of the #1 network in her country, Venevisión, and continued to be so for many years, becoming one of the most charismatic personalities in show business.

She started her career in major soap operas in 1999 with the melodrama Calypso (1999). By 2000 she was designated the image of Sony Entertainment Television. She played leading roles in the soap operas Cosita rica (2003) and Mambo y canela (2002), among others. She has also been a leading personality in music videos for major International Latin singers Luis Miguel and Alejandro Fernández.

Important brands in the beauty industry have selected Chiqui to represent their image, such as Pantene, L'Oreal, Wen and Nivea. Other brands she has worked with are Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Zulia Lottery and Occidental Bank. She is also an entrepreneur, with a line of beauty products called "Chiqui" that have become a household name in Venezuela.

Having achieved success in her native country, in 2010 she traveled to the United States when she was hired by Univision, the #1 Hispanic TV network, as host of the show Mira Quién Baila (2010), the equivalent of Dancing with the Stars (2005). She has also become the host of Univision's #1-rated show, Nuestra Belleza Latina (2006). She has hosted such shows as Sábado gigante (1962) (a longtime Saturday-evening prime-time variety show) and El gordo y la flaca (1998) (a daily afternoon entertainment show). In addition, she has covered the "Night of Stars" live from Las Vegas, and for four years has been the "red carpet" host for the Latin Grammys. In 2012 she crossed over to mainstream broadcasting when she was invited to work on CBS' Entertainment Tonight (1981), interviewing such major international stars as Tom Hanks, Halle Berry and Sofía Vergara. In 2012 she had a role as an Hispanic newscaster in one of the most successful and prestigious shows in US television history, 30 Rock (2006) (Kidnapped by Danger (2012), and the next year worked on the sitcom HitStreak (2013). .

In 2014 she was asked to collaborate with noted fashion designer David Lerner to develop her own fashion line, "Chiqui Delgado". In addition, she has been featured on the covers of such magazines as "Cosmopolitan", "People in Español", "Buenhogar" and "Vanidades", among others. Editors, having followed her career, know of the influence and impact she has had on readers due to her standing in the worlds of fashion and beauty.

Chiqui has also involved herself in public-service work, aiding such charities as St. Jude's Children's Hospital, Telecorazón (Venezuela), Amigos for Kids and Socievent (Organization for Deaf Children). She has hosted major events for such charities as Telethon USA and Telethon Mexico.

Chiqui's commitment to her artistic profession in Latin America and the United States has solidified her reputation as one of the most promising Hispanic stars in the US television market.
