One of the most popular original shows produced by the USA Network was "White Collar," which ran for six seasons from 2009 to 2014. The show saw notorious con artist Neal Caffrey (Matt Bomer) agree to serve as a full-time consultant for the FBI in apprehending other white collar criminals. This leads to an unlikely partnership between Caffrey and FBI Special Agent Peter Burke (Tim DeKay), who reluctantly works with Caffrey in investigating crooks around New York City. "White Collar" quickly proved successful with audiences, with fans lauding the uneasy dynamic between Caffrey and Burke, while singling out Bomer's standout performance.
With its relatively light-hearted tone and odd couple procedural partnership, "White Collar" has plenty of shows that feel similar to it. Many of these shows also aired on the USA Network, echoing its tone and production values, while some just focus on a mismatched pairing. Here are the 12 best TV shows...

Big action, bad decisions, and sharp jokes — these spy comedies have it all.
Comedy’s always been my thing — but I like it even more when there are secret missions, fake identities, and explosions in the mix. Spy comedies just hit different. You still get the cool world-building, slick action, and bad-ass leads, but now they’ve got sharp one-liners and totally chaotic side plots. I’m talking about shows where the agents are just as likely to ruin the mission as they are to save it — and somehow, that’s the fun. If you’re into smart, fast, funny shows with a little danger on the side, these are the seven best spy comedies streaming right now.

Pride Month can be celebrated in a variety of ways. From parades and festivals all over to corporations adopting rainbow logos in June for their own gain, community-driven festivities stand in stark contrast to corporate-driven ones. Still, there are plenty of ways to celebrate that don't involve partying or catching rainbow-colored swag from a T-Mobile float.
Why not plan your own queer film festival? LGBTQ+ films have become more prominent than ever, but that doesn't mean they're no longer important. Moreover, plenty of wonderful LGBTQ+ films don't receive the attention they deserve. Watching older movies can also serve as a historical education of sorts, reminding us that queer filmmakers and films have always existed. Take, for example, the 1919 German film "Different from the Others," one of the first films to depict gay people in a positive light, or the 1931 film "Mädchen in Uniform," often considered the first lesbian film ever made.

The year is 2025, and the hottest trend in television is ... reboots of old shows from the USA Network? Yes, you read that right. The "Suits" renaissance has had a longer tail than anyone could have predicted when, back in 2023, it became one of the top shows on Netflix years after leaving the airwaves. In the two years since then, streamers have scrambled for the rights to other similar procedural series with massive back catalogs of episodes. This trend hasn't stopped there, though.
The next natural step was proper reboots, with "Suits LA" premiering in February 2025 on NBC. Despite the fervor around its predecessor just a couple years ago, that show has struggled with both critics and viewers. (You likely didn't even realize it's been airing for the last two months.) Perhaps a better fate will befall the upcoming "White Collar" reboot, which is currently in the early stages of development.

In the first feature film from writer/director/star Rachel Noll James, the entrance being sought is one into alternate dimensions. No one could ever accuse the 1990s sitcom "Seinfeld" of being a show for the book-averse jocks of the world, but in season 8 the series took its nerdiest turn of all in the episode "The Bizarro Jerry." In the episode, which is easily among the best "Seinfeld episodes of all time," Elaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) agrees to hang out with her ex-boyfriend, Kevin (Tim DeKay), and two of his friends. They end up being the complete opposites of her other ex-boyfriend, Jerry (Jerry Seinfeld), and his two best friends, George (Jason Alexander) and Kramer (Michael Richards). When Elaine tries to discuss the whole freaky experience with Jerry, he immediately turns to his love of "Superman" to explain it in a very comic book way: she's met the bizarro versions of her friends! In the end, Bizarro Jerry, Bizarro George, and Bizarro Kramer even get to meet their alternates in one of...

Since first being talked about as something that could actually happen, the White Collar revival has been long-teased and slowly developing. But the revival series of the USA Network hit started to take shape, and it's closer than ever. However, the most recent update throws a bit of a wrench in Neal Caffrey's comeback plans, but there's still a path for the blue sky procedural to return.
Deadline reported that even though the Disney-owned 20th Television is producing the revival project, the Disney-owned streamer Hulu passed on picking up the revival. Honestly, that's a pretty unexpected turn of events. White Collar might not be as popular on Hulu as it is on Netflix, but Disney tends to prefer to keep its content in-house. Putting a library title like this on the market is a surprise.

Exclusive: The long-in-the-works White Collar reboot is about to hit the marketplace. According to sources, series creator Jeff Eastin, who has been behind the effort to revive the cult USA Network series, will be taking the pitch out in the next week or two.
The project is produced by 20th Television, part of Disney TV Studios. Initially, sibling Hulu was considered the logical home for the follow-up as it also carries the White Collar library. I hear the Disney streamer opted not to proceed with the reboot, which now is being taken to the open market.
Of the other major players, Netflix would be a natural fit as the platform also has — for the moment — the original series in the U.S., the UK and Canada.

White Collar is one of the most beloved procedural dramedies from the 2000s and 2010s and one of the few shows that have a good reason to be revived. Running for six seasons from 2006 to 2014, White Collar had a lot going for it, from its premise to the exciting heists and compelling villains that populated the story. However, the most enduring part of White Collar has always been the dynamic between Peter and Neal, played by Tim DeKay and Matt Bomer. Though an FBI agent and a thief are an unlikely pair, White Collar made them unforgettable.
Not only did Peter and Neal work well together, but they became true friends, and many of the best episodes revolved around the development of their dynamic. The White Collar revival theories have been mounting in the wake of the announcement that this beloved series will be back and better than ever before long.

The richest stars of White Collar are being revealed!
The legal drama centered on an ultra-suave con man who, in order to avoid jail, signs on to help an FBI agent catch other white-collar thieves — but he conceals an ulterior motive.
First premiering on USA Network in 2009, the show ran for six seasons and starred Matt Bomer, Tim DeKay, the late Willie Garson, Tiffani Thiessen, Marsha Thomason, Sharif Atkins, Hilarie Burton and Natalie Morales.
The show got a second life when it hit Netflix, and it’s also available to stream on Hulu. If you didn’t know, there’s also a reboot in the works and new details were recently revealed!
Even though it’s been years since the show was originally on the air, it still maintains a near perfect score on Rotten Tomatoes, where it has a 96% Tomatometer score from critics, and a 93% average score from audiences.

White Collar and Suits share several similarities, which is why Suits is the perfect show to watch while waiting for the White Collar reboot. White Collar charmed televisions worldwide with its focus on white-collar crimes solved by the charming Neal Caffrey (Matt Bomer) and Peter Burke (Tim DeKay). The show highlights the brilliant duo and the complex crimes they must solve together. Even though White Collar only had six seasons, it has remained popular and continues to be considered one of the best crime TV shows even 11 years after it ended.
Similar to White Collar, Suits is also highly regarded as a great show and has a captivating nine seasons. Both White Collar and Suits aired around the same time, with White Collar premiering just two years before the Suits pilot episode. The perfect replacement show for audiences who love White Collar took the premise behind Neal Caffrey's (Matt Bomer) story and shifted it to be much darker. Though updates on the White Collar revival have not been forthcoming, both the upcoming and the original series continue to be discussed and theorized about by old and new fans of the comedic procedural due to its success on Netflix. Alongside that, many audiences have tried to find shows that share aspects with White Collar, whether it be by the structure, tone, or characterizations.
Many of the shows that are similar to White Collar copy the series' complex relationship between Neal and Peter Burke (Tim DeKay), such as Suits or Psych, although the details of those dynamics vary. Others mirror White Collar's strong action and heists that so often elevated the stacks of the overarching storyline, like Lupin. However, audiences looking for a closer...

From 2009 to 2014, White Collar broke boundaries within the crime procedural genre on television, allowing it to become one of the most memorable TV shows of the period. Starring Matt Bomer and Tim DeKay as Neal Caffrey and Peter Burke, an unlikely but undeniable crime-fighting duo working in the white-collar crime division of the FBI, White Collar took the famous idea of the gentleman spy and turned it on its head. Neal Caffrey is the gentleman criminal. A man who hates guns and loves fine art and just so happens to be excellent at thieving and forgery.
However, his world is upended when Agent Burke apprehends him, and they strike a deal. The upcoming White Collar revival will capitalize on the chemistry between Bomer and DeKay, which is one of the major elements that propelled the plot and intrigue of White Collar for so many seasons. Though aspects of White Collar haven't aged well,...

The revival of White Collar should make one big change from the original, allowing the reboot a fresh start ten years after Neal Caffrey's (Matt Bomer) story came to a close. Details on White Collar: Renaissance's story have been kept to a minimum, resulting in many theories surrounding the White Collar revival circulating from audiences who loved the original series. In a similar vein, several concerns surrounding the revival have been presented, especially regarding how the revival will impact the original's legacy and avoid the mistakes of the past.
White Collar was and continues to be a strong procedural, weaving together its overarching storylines and character arcs with ease. Even so, other shows similar to White Collar and its solid structure have had lackluster revivals, as returning to that longer procedural form hinders more than helps reacquaint audiences with these stories years later. White Collar is officially getting a revival, but now the show has the enormous task of finding ways to bring back the core cast and create a fresh new story. White Collar first began airing back in 2009. The show introduced the world to the incredibly talented con man, Neal Caffrey, and the FBI agent who caught him, Peter Burke, as the pair were forced to work together. While the pair initially butted heads, over time, their relationship evolved, and they began to have a mutual respect and appreciation for one another.
However, the show had a solid run of six seasons to explore the relationship, and it ended with Neal finally breaking free from the FBI after they continually went back on their promise to make him a free man. But years later, the show is set to renew with White Collar: Renaissance (via Deadline). And while this is an exciting development,...

One character from White Collar needs to return for the upcoming revival despite having only appeared in a single episode of the original Matt Bomer show. Though updates on White Collar's revival have been minimal, audiences can get excited knowing that many of the original cast members are expected to, including Bomer as Neal Caffrey and Tim DeKay as Peter Burke. That being said, there has been nothing regarding potential supporting or guest stars for the revival, even though those smaller characters were essential for White Collar to work.
White Collar, even with its larger arcs, was at its core a procedural, allowing the series to bring in new characters to complicate the relationships of New York's White Collar unit. Many of those smaller White Collar characters were the catalysts for the action-filled adventures the pair embarked on, such as Ben Ryan (Joe Manganiello) in "Neighborhood Watch", but also...

The White Collar reboot has been confirmed, and the revival will finally answer the show's thrilling cliffhangers from the series finale back in 2014. The reboot, titled White Collar Renaissance, will feature several returning White Collar actors, including Matt Bomber as Neal Caffrey, Tim DeKay as Peter Burke, and Tiffani Thiessen as Elizabeth Burke. As 10 years have passed since the finale, the reboot is set to feature exciting new storylines that represent shifting political and technological developments.
The White Collar revival has been widely compared to Suits LA, another upcoming procedural whose flagship series found its start on network television before moving to streaming. White Collar shares many similarities to popular shows, but it found its niche by focusing on white-collar, luxurious crimes, such as art theft and forgery. Given White Collar's track record and its excellent take on crime dramas, White Collar Renaissance will surely follow suit with fascinating narratives centered on high crime.

The biggest difference between White Collar and Suits is why, despite their equal levels of popularity, one is getting a revival while the other is getting a spinoff series. White Collar and Suits share many similarities, including their recent rise in popularity on Netflix, which is now resulting in their return to the network television sphere. However, each of their returns will be in a different form as White Collar is getting a full revival while Suits: LA is confirmed to be a spinoff.
While updates on the White Collar revival have been scarce, it is very clear that the storyline will follow the characters from the original show. Meanwhile, the Suits spinoff will follow a new set of characters with only the possibility of cameos from the original cast. It's hard to believe that USA's White Collar is 25 years old, because the show feels timeless. The charming performances still hold up today, and most of the subject matter is still relevant. Maybe that's why there's a revival in the works. But whatever happens there, Jeff Eastin created a very fun world that was then populated by equally fun stars, and the end result was a TV series that audiences need more of.

In return, Neal is able to search for answers about the fate of his missing girlfriend Kate Moreau. What sounds like "okay, we've seen this one before" winds up being a lot more unique,...

One particular detail from season 2 of White Collar is too good not to be brought back for Neal Caffrey's (Matt Bomer) storyline in the revival. Though updates on the White Collar revival have been steadily arriving ever since its announcement, the main conflict and story arcs have yet to be disclosed for White Collar: Renaissance. Many years have passed since Neal Caffrey and Peter Burke (Tim DeKay) solved white-collar crimes together, and that distance has already allowed for many changes to occur in their lives.
White Collar season 6 ended with both the birth of Peter's son and the reveal that Neal was still alive and well in Paris. The revival will hopefully focus on how those circumstances have changed their outlooks, especially after all of their adventures together shifted many of their iron-clad truths. One particular way to highlight those changes comes from a specific episode of the show's original run and went unresolved,...

White Collar may be a police procedural, but the show isn't afraid to explore romance when it comes to the leading men, Neal and Peter. White Collar first began airing on USA Today in 2009, where it continued to run for six thrilling seasons. Over that time, Peter Burke, played by Tim DeKay, and Neal Caffrey, played by Matt Bomer, worked together to track down major criminals and shed light on corrupt police within the FBI organization.
The show explored the relationship between Peter and Neal in White Collar as they worked through their preexisting biases and frustrations with each other, but the show included many more relationships that provided additional growth and challenges for Peter and Neal. White Collar is a police procedural show that follows a con man who is compelled to work with the FBI, and the agent who locked him up, but over the course of the show, Peter and Neal's relationship becomes the series' true center. White Collar distinguishes itself from other crime dramas because of the central characters. A con man who struggles to leave his old life behind, and a straight-laced FBI agent who tries to do everything by the book.
These characters clearly start out on opposite sides, and as they communicate with their other friends and romantic partners, it becomes clear how frustrated they are with their uneasy alliance. This is made even more apparent since Peter Burke, played by Tim DeKay, was the agent who captured Neal Caffrey, played by Matt Bomer. The perfect replacement show for Prison Break not only lasted six seasons but had its very own Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller). Prison Break's nail-biting action and twists were, at their heart, facilitated by Michael's many schemes as he attempted to prove his brother Lincoln's (Dominic Purcell) innocence. Though the series only got more complex as time went on, the story ultimately came to a close with updates on a Prison Break reboot still being few and far between despite its still strong premise and characters.
Michael's ability to come up with elaborate plans that, even when things went off the rails, somehow still prevailed was fascinating to witness. However, this kind of quick-thinking is not just reserved for the Fox crime drama. Several shows like Prison Break have at least one character who matches Michael's mental acuity and propensity to get into trouble. One particularly notable Prison Break replacement...

White Collar star Sharif Atkins, who played FBI Special Agent Clinton Jones, is set to return to the series' upcoming revival. The star first appeared in the pilot episode as an agent working under Peter Burke in the white collar crime division. Agent Jones is known as Peter's point contact for backup. Though unwillingly, he's sometimes tasked with babysitting con man Neal Caffrey.
Atkins recently confirmed his return to the series' reboot and his character's presence in the White Collar world. "I've talked to [creator] Jeff Eastin a bit here and there, and yeah, Jones is still in the world," Atkin told TVLine. The actor is curious about his character's whereabouts after the original series ended its run in 2014. According to Atkins, the script for the upcoming reboot is "top-notch" and "pays homage, beautifully to the late Willie Garson." He admitted that he's really looking forward to returning to the franchise,...

The latest update on the White Collar reboot is a relief after the announcement of Matt Bomer's new Hulu project. Years after co-starring in White Collar for six seasons alongside Tim DeKay, Matt Bomer will be headlining a new show for Hulu, titled Mid-Century Modern. But on top of that, Bomer is expected to be involved in more White Collar stories.
Ever since the show ended, there have been discussions about a revival, mostly because of the season 6 cliffhanger. A decade after White Collar ended, it was finally announced that the show would be revived. There aren't a lot of details about the plot of the White Collar revival. However, there has been confirmation about the script and who else will be in the cast apart from Bomer. Given that Bomer will be working on another project, questions about whether the production of White Collar will be delayed have been raised.
