And Amazon is wasting no time in getting the spin-off to screens.

While it had not been confirmed that Alan Ritchson’s Jack Reacher would appear alongside Sten’s Neagley in the spin-off series, it has now been revealed that he absolutely will, with the pair spotting filming scenes for the show during a recent face-off between the Chicago Cubs and the Chicago White Sox at Chicago's Wrigley Field (via MLB). ‘Reacher’s Upcoming Spin-Off Filmed in the Most Unexpected Location
Image
Prime Video's Reacher universe is officially expanding — and it’s not doing things by the book. In fact, fans got their first real glimpse at the highly anticipated spin-off Neagley in one of the last places anyone expected: the stands of Chicago’s Wrigley Field. That’s right. During a Cubs vs. White Sox game this past Saturday, Neagley star Maria Sten and Alan Ritchson were spotted filming scenes right in the middle of the action. Ritchson, as one would expect, blended in about as well as an elephant in a petting zoo. Far from being a behind-the-scenes leak, the footage was captured and shared by Marquee Sports Network, confirming what fans had long suspected — Ritchson is definitely showing up in the spin-off series.

Chris Hemsworth & Halle Berry's 'Crime 101' Gets 2026 Release Date
Image
Those looking for the 411 on Crime 101are in luck, as Chris Hemsworth and Halle Berry's upcoming heist thriller has stolen a high-profile date in Amazon MGM Studios' theatrical release calendar. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Crime 101, based on the crime novella of the same name by author Don Winslow, will open in theaters on Feb. 13, 2026, just in time for Valentine's Day, because who needs flowers when you have an Avenger in action outside the MCU? It also coincides with the beginning of Presidents' Day weekend.

The studio behind Crime 101 has reportedly committed to Feb. 13, 2026, despite it being the same day that Emerald Fennell's controversial Wuthering Heights' adaptation opens in theaters, and a highly curious untitled MCU Phase 6 movie. This release date takes advantage of the long holiday weekend that often presents moviegoers with free time to visit the theater. The addition of Crime 101 to the...

Reacher Season 4 Filming Update Will Disappoint Fans
Image
Prestige television can go out of its way to deliver high-concept ideas with an all-star cast, a puzzle box mystery, and an abundance of visual effects, but sometimes, all a show really needs to be successful is a big guy bringing the beatdown. "Reacher" has been a tremendous success for Prime Video, with its third and latest season setting new viewership records for the streaming service. There doesn't seem to be any sign of Alan Ritchson's titular behemoth slowing down anytime soon.

Based on the popular novels by author Lee Child, the "Reacher" series follows ex-Army Major Jack Reacher as he hops from location to location, dispensing justice through his potent cocktail of stature and smarts. Indeed, while he can lay the smackdown on just about anyone if it's needed, Reacher is highly proficient at using his wits to resolve a conflict before it escalates further. A large part...

'Reacher' Season 4 Won't Return as Quickly as Previous Seasons
Image
Alan Ritchson may be off saving the day again soon—but fans will have to wait longer than usual to see it. Following the action-packed conclusion of Reacher Season 3, Prime Video has confirmed a fourth season is on the way. However, according to a new report from TVLine, season 4 won’t begin filming until production wraps on the Frances Neagley spinoff series, which stars Maria Sten as Neagley. The two shows share much of the same crew, meaning Reacher will have to wait its turn.

Season 3, which debuted earlier this year, saw Ritchson's Reacher go back to his solo roots, delivering the kind of no-nonsense justice that made season 1 such a breakout hit in 2022. After a more mixed reception to season 2, the most recent chapter was praised as a return to form. With Reacher now Prime Video’s biggest original series, fans expected a yearly rollout to continue uninterrupted. But that plan might be shifting.

Alan Ritchson became a household name and the face of a rip-roaring franchise when he began portraying the silent-and-lethal titular character in the 2022 action crime sensation Reacher, an adaptation of the popular Lee Child novels that focuses on the perpetually wandering former U.S. Army military policeman as trouble seems to follow him everywhere he goes. The self-proclaimed hobo becomes caught up in one dangerous conspiracy after the next, defending the innocent and using his brute strength and extensive knowledge to take down one nefarious foe after the next.

In addition to Young, American Primeval alters several real-life historical details and figures.

15 Best Action Thriller Movies Like Sicario
Image
Movies like Sicario offer explosive action, thought-provoking political intrigue, and awards-pedigree acting talent. Released in 2015, Sicario is a slow-burning thriller about the nuances of drug cartel operations and the border between the U.S. and Mexico. Directed by Denis Villeneuve, the movie focuses on three perspectives: an FBI agent, played by Emily Blunt; a secretive government agent, played by Josh Brolin; and an even shadowier assassin, played by Benicio del Toro. The film was a critical and commercial success, and it got a sequel three years later, Sicario: Day of the Soldado.

Only the best action-thriller movies remain comparable to Sicario, with its stunning cinematography and deeply ugly subject matter. However, many fan-favorite films by director Denis Villeneuve and other acclaimed filmmakers hit the same spots. Several are also available for subscribers on major streaming platforms or even for free, making it easy to find movies like Sicario for fans...

10 Best Neo-Westerns Ever Made
Image
The neo-Western film genre reimagines the themes and ideas of classic Western movies for a modern audience. Often, this takes the form of a Western-style movie set in contemporary times, or if it was set in an earlier time period, the film blended genres and presented itself as a more targeted critique of American societal values than whats normally seen in a typical Western. Neo-Westerns are often much darker stories that tackle existential questions of life, death, and the complexities of determining good from evil.

Many of the best modern Western movies embrace a neo-Western sensibility and include works by some of the best directors of all time, such as Paul Thomas Anderson, Jim Jarmusch, and the Coen brothers. While many of these films dont focus on traditional bandits, cowboys, or outlaws, they often utilize the desolate landscapes and brooding atmospheres of classic Western cinema. The best neo-Westerns ever made...

Amazon Studios’ feature film “Crime 101” is rounding out its cast.

Jennifer Jason Leigh, Nick Nolte, Tate Donovan, Babak Tafti, Payman Maadi, Deborah Hedwall, Devon Bostick, Paul Adelstein, Drew Powell and Matthew Del Negro have boarded the upcoming crime thriller, which will be released in theaters.

They join previously announced cast members Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Barry Keoghan, Monica Barbaro, Corey Hawkins and Halle Berry. Bart Layton wrote the script, which is based on a novella by Don Winslow, and will direct.

Per the logline, Winslow’s original story follows a series of high level jewelry thefts up and down the Pacific Coast Highway that have gone unsolved for years, mostly because the perpetrator has lived by a strict code he calls ‘Crime 101.’ Police attribute the thefts to the Colombian cartels, but Detective Lou Lubesnick’s gut says it’s the work of just one man. Now the lone-wolf jewel...

Laroy, Texas Review: A Violent Comedy Of Errors Whose Cast Absolves The Convoluted Plot
Image
Laroy, Texas is a twisted town in a circle of Hell with dark characters and multiple homicides. Ray, mistaken for a hitman, embarks on a chaotic journey with the impish P.I. Skip. The film's clever complexities lead to confusion, resembling Coen Brothers' work but lacks trust in dark themes.

Laroy, Texas introduces a smirking hitman in a familiar but effectively tense opening that ends with the man burying the remains of his night's work. As Harry, played unnervingly by Dylan Baker, digs, he receives a call from another client, "Where's Laroy?" he asks indignantly. The cut to the title tells us, as does a montage of ranch shops, one with "Texas" painted on it, and the twanging guitar that picks up. As does Brad Leland grinning at his car dealership with the name Adam Ledoux when we all know it's Buddy Garrity. Where's Laroy, Harry? "Texas forever, creep."

Laroy, Texas Review: John Magaro and Steve Zahan Enliven Coen Brothers Karaoke Night
Image
A darkly comic crime odyssey set in middle-of-nowhere America, writer-director Shane Atkinson’s Laroy, Texas wears its Coen brothers influence on its sleeve. And while it never quite reaches the hilarious heights or existential depths of the Coens’ finest work, it does offer similarly enjoyable mixture of the macabre and the absurd.

Atkinson’s film begins with a regular schmuck named Ray (John Magaro) being summoned to a greasy diner and handed an envelope full of photos that show his wife, Stacy-Lynn (Megan Stevenson), cheating on him. It’s devastating information to receive, and it doesn’t help that Ray is hearing it from a guy like Skip (Steve Zahn)—a self-styled private eye who dresses in a bolo tie and cowboy hat, and swears that he’s as much of a detective as any of the other boys on the force, even if he has spelled the word incorrectly on his business cards.
