    • Dave Dee was born on December 17, 1943 in Salisbury, Wiltshire, England, UK. He was an actor, known for Papa en a deux (1970), Rentadick (1972) and Thank Your Lucky Stars (1961). He was married to Joanne. He died on January 9, 2009 in Kingston upon Thames, Surrey, England, UK.

Trivia

  • A former police officer, as a cadet he attended the scene of the accident in which Eddie Cochran met his death.
  • He was lead singer of the sixties pop group with one of the longest names:- Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick and Tich.
  • CD (as Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick and Tich): "Hold Tight! The Best of the Fontana Years" (VCL).
  • Dee left the group in 1969 for a short-lived solo career. They got back together in the 1990s, and had several concerts scheduled at the time of his death. Dee played his last gig in Germany in September 2008.
  • In the 1970s, he was a founding member of the Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy charity. He was an active fund-raiser and publicist for the organization for more than 30 years.
