    • Julia Dean was born on May 12, 1878 in St. Paul, Minnesota, USA. She was an actress, known for La Valse de l'empereur (1948), La Malédiction des hommes-chats (1944) and La cité magique (1947). She was married to Orme Caldara. She died on October 17, 1952 in Hollywood, California, USA.

Trivia

  • Noted stage actress, who began her career as a vaudeville sketch artist. On Broadway from 1902, she proved a fairly versatile performer in anything from comedy to melodrama. However, her career went into decline by the mid-1910's and she reinvented herself as a film character actress after retiring to California.
  • Namesake and niece of the great 19th century stage actress Julia Dean Hayne (1830-1868).
