After “The Masked Singer” wraps up its “Lucky Season 13” on Wednesday night, Fox is giving the show a bit of a breather. The network is set to unveil a fall schedule on Monday that won’t include the hit singing competition for the first time in several years — saving Season 14 until January 2026.

The news will also be revealed on Wednesday night’s finale. Per a network statement, “Among Fox’s most enduring signature shows is The Masked Singer with a truly devoted fanbase. This juggernaut will return next year for Season 14 as it takes midseason by storm with a spectacular, super-charged new season.”

The network added that the decision to hold off on the new season until January “is a strategic move to give ample runway for America’s favorite guessing game. and allow us to creatively look at enhancing the show with the biggest names at the center of it.

Exclusive: The Masked Singer has been renewed after producing an incredible 13 seasons and more than 170 episodes since it launched on Fox in January 2019.

This included a number of seasons produced under strict Covid protocols with the music competition guessing game, which has aired one season at the start of the year and one in the fall, never missing a run throughout the pandemic.

However, Deadline understands that this is about to change with the show eschewing its traditional fall 2025 season and planning to return for Season 14 in January.

The news comes as the Season 13 finale is set to air tonight. This season has featured the likes of Cedric the Entertainer, Oscar De La Hoya, Aubrey O’Day, Scheana Shay, Flavor Flav, James Van Der Beek, Candace Cameron Bure, Method Man, Erika Jayne, Matthew Lawrence and Edwin McCain. Four celebrities have yet to be unmasked – those performing as Boogie Woogie, Coral, Mad Scientist Monster and Pearl.

The Masked Singer Season 13 finale airs Wednesday night, and Ken Jeong definitely knows who Boogie Woogie is. The ever-confident clue master is convinced that the orange disco monster is none other than four-time Grammy winner Ed Sheeran.

Patrick Schwarzenegger reveals he auditioned for James Gunn’s upcoming Superman movie.

While appearing on a recent episode of Josh Horowitz’s Happy Sad Confused podcast, Schwarzenegger was asked, “Have you done more than your share of superhero auditions in your career?”

The White Lotus star quickly replied, “No, I haven’t,” and said the three times he has auditioned for roles in the superhero world include for The Boys character of Homelander, Golden Boy (in the show Gen V, which he booked) and Superman.

Horowitz followed up by asking if he got into costume for this Superman audition, to which Schwarzenegger playfully responded, “No, I don’t think I got any feedback. I think it was like, ‘No, not for you'” and added how the audition was a self-tape.

Singer, former Danity Kane member and “Celebrity Apprentice” contestant Aubrey O’Day was the latest celebrity to be revealed Wednesday on Fox’s hit music competition series “The Masked Singer.” O’Day was unmasked as the Ant, during “Rat Pack Tribute Night” on the show.

For Ant,. Robin Thicke got it right with O’Day. Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg went with Evan Rachel Wood. Rita Ora named Charli xcx. Ken Jeong named Mel B from the Spice Girls.

O’Day sang “Fever,” by Peggy Lee, for her regular performance. Later, Paparazzo became the first celebrity to move on to the “Lucky 6” finalists, while Ant and Coral battled it out for Group A’s other slot in a battle royale. As Ant, O’Day sang “My Way,” by Frank Sinatra, followed by Coral singing the same.

White Lotus actor Patrick Schwarzenegger, the son of Hollywood icon Arnold Schwarzenegger, recently opened up about his frustration with his unfortunate nepo baby title.

In a recent interview with The Times, Schwarzenegger discussed his nepo baby title when asked if it had an impact on his White Lotus role. "I know there are people who'll say I only got this role because of who my dad is," he said. "They're not seeing that I've had 10 years of acting classes, put on [high] school plays every week, worked on my characters for hours on end or the hundreds of rejected auditions I've been on."

Oscar De La Hoya earned a Grammy nomination back in 2001 for best Latin pop album — so he does know a thing or two about singing. But nonetheless, he faced tough competition on Season 13 of “The Masked Singer,” and so on Wednesday, he was the latest celebrity to be revealed on the hit series.

De La Hoya, who was unmasked as Fuzzy Peas, says he knew he couldn’t compete against some of the golden voices he was up against. “When they asked me to do the show, I was like, ‘Ok, wait a minute. The Masked Singer is back!

A new episode of season 13 of the hit Fox singing competition series aired on Wednesday night (February 19).

The show, which began in South Korea, features celebrities singing songs while wearing costumes and face masks concealing their identities until they’re eliminated. Throughout the season, the contestants provide clues to try and help the judges and fans figure out who is under the mask.

This season includes the new costumed character Detective Lucky Duck, who will help panelists “uncover who’s behind each mask.”

During the episode, Group A contestants Ant, Coral, Fuzzy Peas, and Paparazzo returned to the stage for their second performance of the season.

The tight-knit crew at Ktla got some more tough news this week with the revelation that the station’s longtime weatherman, Mark Kriski, has suffered a mild stroke. The news comes after station staff were devastated by the news earlier this month that beloved entertainment reporter Sam Rubin had died of a heart attack.

In a post to social media Ktla said Kriski’s stroke had happened earlier this week, but noted that “he’s in good spirits…and looks forward to being back with the team soon.”

The station also made a brief announcement on air about his condition.

Kriski’s wife told TMZ that he had the stroke early Monday and was hospitalized.
