Rhenzy Feliz's 10 Best Movies & TV Shows
Image
Rhenzy Feliz has come into the national spotlight thanks to his fantastic co-starring performance in The Penguin, but the actor has been a part of plenty of notable TV shows and movies before 2024, putting in impressive acting showcases each time he appears. Born on October 26, 1997, Feliz was just 26 when he appeared in The Penguin premiere. That wasn't even close to Feliz's first acting job though, and the Brooklyn, NY native got his start back in 2016, with a recurring role on the Hulu comedy series, Casual, in season 2.

Work never let up for Feliz, and aside from a few years in the early 2020s, the Covid-19 years, as they were, he's been constantly performing in either TV or movies. His innocence and charm makes for a good mix that allows him to inhabit sweet, kind characters, who are also stronger than they may appear at first glance. The Penguin is how most wider audiences know him,...

Every The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Episode, Ranked
Image
Even after the series finale of The Walking Dead in 2022, the franchise pumps out more content with each passing year. AMC is aware of the cash cow it has on its hands and isn't likely to give up Robert Kirkman's dystopian franchise any time soon. The conclusion of The Walking Dead resulted in splitting up the main cast into series of their own. Maggie (Lauren Cohan) and Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) went to Dead City, while Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) got an eponymous series of his own.

But anyone watching The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon was waiting for the inevitable: The return of Carol (Melissa McBride). Carol and Daryl part ways in the final episode of The Walking Dead and when McBride couldn't commit to the European shoot, Daryl had to walk the beautiful ruins of France alone. Now Carol has returned in Season 2, it is time to...

'Going to Be So Exciting': Twd: Daryl Dixon Showrunner Explains Season 3's New Location
Image
The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon showrunner David Zabel opened up about the creative teams decision to move the shows location for Season 3. The horror drama has just recently wrapped up its 6-episode second season, which is now currently available for streaming on AMC+.

During a recent interview with THR, Zabel explained that changing Daryl Dixon Season 3s location was necessary in order to give them the opportunity to reinvent The Walking Dead spinoff. He also teased that the shows location will continue to change in future seasons. "The characters should not settle down. It should be a road show. They have to keep moving [to return home]," Zabel said. "At the end of Season 2, theyre going somewhere. We dont know exactly where, and its not a direct line to the next place they go. But the idea is to keep the characters struggling and striving to get home and moving. [Exploring a new culture is] going to...

The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Season 2 Finale Review - Neat Ending Gives Season 3 A Clean Slate
Image
Warning! Spoilers ahead for The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon season 2 finale. The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon - The Book of Carol has been a mostly solid follow-up to the first season, albeit with a story thats more contrived and at times messy. Season 2 does a lot in six episodes, leading to the overall flow feeling a bit rushed. The big moments, like the reunion of Carol (Melissa McBride) and Daryl (Norman Reedus), do land with the emotional weight that such scenes deserve. This is thanks in large part to the performances of McBride and Reedus, who, along with a strong supporting cast, elevate their scenes even when the story stumbles.

In Just 6 Episodes, Daryl Dixon Season 2 Had 3 Separate Main Villains
Image
Warning: spoilers ahead for Daryl Dixon season 2, episode 5.

The franchise isn't known for keeping characters around very long, but The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon has achieved the impressive feat of burning through three separate villains in season 2 alone. Most seasons of The Walking Dead's main series would clock in around the 16-episode mark, but since season 12 plans were replaced by a string of The Walking Dead spinoff shows, the standard has been six episodes per season for Daryl Dixon, Dead City, and The Ones Who Live.

Naturally, the truncated length of each season has limited each spinoff's ability to refresh its villains as regularly as The Walking Dead used to. The main villain throughout Daryl Dixon season 1 was Genet, Dead City season 1 had the Croat, and the big bad of The Ones Who Live was Terry O'Quinn's Major General Beale. Daryl Dixon season 2 ignores that format, batting...

The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Season 2, Episode 5 Review - The Show Suffers From Rushed Storytelling
Image
Warning! Spoilers ahead for Daryl Dixon season 2, episode 5.

Last weeks episode of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon - The Book of Carol was a high point for the season. Though there was the tragedy of Isabelles (Clmence Posy) death, it was nicely counterbalanced by the reunion of Daryl (Norman Reedus) and Carol (Melissa McBride), plus some great action at both the Nest and later on in a charming French village. Genet (Anne Charrier) was also killed off and too soon, though she at least died in spectacular fashion. Episode 4 set a high bar, but sadly, episode 5, Vouloir, C'est Pouvoir, doesnt come close to matching it.

Warning: Spoilers ahead for The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon season 2, episode 4!The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon showrunner David Zabel has lamented the most recent major character death in season 2, explaining why the survivor died the way they did. Near the start of Daryl Dixon season 2, episode 4, Isabelle (Clmence Posy) is stabbed by Losang (Joel de la Fuente), and begins to bleed out. The following contains spoilers for The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Season 2, Episode 4, "La Paradis Pour Toi," which premiered Sunday, Oct. 20 on AMC.

Norman Reedus recently confirmed that Carol and Daryl will be reunited in The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon. The actor also shared that their reunion will be well-earned when it happens in the show.

Speaking with Screen Rant at New York Comic Con 2024, Reedus revealed that he believed the reunion between Daryl and Carol was done "really well" in Daryl Dixon. "I think we got Daryl to a place, well, that would be the last thing on his mind, a place of true despair. He's lost everything. He's completely beaten, and he fights his way to finally seeing the only person in the world that he would want to see. So I think we set the tone for that, and I think it's unexpected," he explained. "I mean, I know it's going to happen,...

Daryl and Carol Finally Reunite in The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon
Image
With great reward comes great sacrifice. That is pretty much the mantra The Walking Dead has lived by through its many seasons to date in both the original series and all its spin-offs. Characters are forced to make difficult decisions. They come across new groups and must decide to trust them or not. They get close to people only to lose them. They lose, love, gain, and lose again. Every step in the right direction seemingly takes them two steps back. This formula has continued in the spin-off series The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon.

The second season called The Book of Carol is well underway, and in episode four titled La Paradis Pour Toi, the long-awaited reunion between Daryl (Norman Reedus) and his best friend Carol (Melissa McBride) finally happens. But their joy is short-lived because it also marks a tragic death.

The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon takes an emotional detour in its fourth episode
Image
“One thing’s for sure, we’re not in Ohio anymore,” Carol (Melissa McBride) says in “Le Paradis Pour Toi,” the fourth episode of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon — The Book of Carol. It feels like a timely Wizard of Oz reference, as Carol and Daryl (Norman Reedus) finally reunite in this episode, and the result feels like Dorothy moving from the black-and-white of Kansas to the full Technicolor of Oz. Their interactions bring a spark to the show that illustrates why fans like these two characters interacting, and why they were given a spinoff in the first place. Though the irony is, this shift appears to be the end of Daryl’s fairytale ride, not the start.

Genet’s (Anne Charrier) attack on the Nest has felt like a long time coming, and the episode’s opening action sequence as she unleashes her walkers and warfare on the...

Warning! Spoilers ahead for Daryl Dixon season 2, episode 3.The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon season 2 introduced some major developments in its last episode: Carol (Melissa McBride) arriving in France, Daryl (Norman Reedus) and Isabelle (Clmence Posy) cementing their relationship, and the idea Laurent (Louis Puech Scigliuzzi) could be the key to a cure. Episode 3, L'Invisible, doesnt include nearly as many big moments, instead focusing more on some table-setting and a bit of resolution. Review: The Book of Carol Episode 3 brings all the players closer together
Image
As Carol (Melissa McBride) and Daryl (Norman Reedus) get closer to reuniting in France, the religious and militaristic factions in the area also come closer to meeting in the middle, as similar-but-different tyrannical, murderous cults. This amping up of the action in the Nest — with the impending "test" to prove Laurent (Louis Puech Scigliuzzi) would survive a walker bite and and Carol’s infiltration of Genet’s (Anne Charrier) group — gives the story more cohesion and forward motion than the fractured first two episodes, where the French storylines were often the least interesting ones.

Genet’s story opens the episode. We learn more about her past working as a janitor at the Louvre. Her disdain for the visitors who don’t appreciate the art to her satisfaction gives us a hint of the Genet she would become; it’s interesting to see a female dictator’s “villain origin” focus on...

Sure, he has close friends, even maybe partook in some subtle flirtations. But no one ever saw Daryl get romantic with another person, not even Leah. That is, until now. Yes, the moment finally happened. Daryl had his first on-screen kiss.

Warning: Spoilers ahead for The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon season 2, episode 2!The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon star Norman Reedus has explained Daryl and Isabelle's (Clmence Posy) final moment together in season 2, episode 2, interpreting what it means moving forward. In their final scene together during Daryl Dixon season 2, episode 2, the pair talk about rescuing Laurent (Louis Puech Scigliuzzi) from the Nest and going to America together. At the end of their conversation, they kiss, cementing the relationship that has been building up between them since the start of season 1.

Speaking with Entertainment Weekly, Reedus interpreted Daryl and Isabelle's kiss in Daryl Dixon season 2 as experimental instead of something definitive. The actor explained how he believes his character is questioning the notion of having to fight all the time, and instead wanted to try something less conflict-heavy and more definitive. Doubts rise onscreen and off in The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon — The Book of Carol Episode 2
Image
Doubt has always been a major issue for characters in The Walking Dead; doubt over the kills they’ve made; doubt over who to trust; doubt over raising a family in the post-apocalyptic world — doubts can control and torture. “Moulin Rouge,” the second episode of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon — The Book of Carol focuses on some of the doubts that surround Daryl (Norman Reedus) and Carol (Melissa McBride). But by the end of the episode, it might be the audience left doubting.

At the Nest, in France, we find out that there is dissent in the ranks as some of the acolytes are losing hope in their promised salvation. Jacinta tells Losang (Joel de la Fuente) that people are starting to demand proof that kid-messiah Laurent (Louis Puech Scigliuzzi) is the real deal, which requires him passing some kind of test that Losang is reluctant to push ahead with.

Melissa McBride makes her mark in soaring premiere of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon — Book of Carol
Image
When it was announced that Melissa McBride was stepping away from The Walking Dead spinoff that she and Norman Reedus (as Daryl Dixon) were scheduled to lead, the reaction was fairly seismic. So when Carol (McBride) appeared in the final episode of season 1 of that spinoff, The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, the collective joy of the fandom was palpable. And the news that she would co-lead season 2, now titled The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon — The Book of Carol (try fitting that on a key chain) rejuvenated a flagging fandom.

Thankfully, for all concerned, McBride’s Carol lives up to every expectation the audience put on her small but mighty shoulders. We spend much of the opening episode, "La Gentillesse des Étrangers," in her company as she tries desperately and unflinchingly makes her way to France, the unlikely where she learns Daryl was shipped. Daryl, meanwhile, is metaphorically and physically exactly where we left him.

10 Walking Dead Villains Who Weren't Evil When They First Appeared
Image
Warning: Spoilers ahead for The Walking DeadThe Walking Dead has become one of the most compelling media franchises of the 21st century, spanning over five TV shows and introducing audiences to some of the best characters television has to offer. The premise of the franchise is set in the immediate aftermath of an apocalyptic event, where "walkers" (undead humans) now roam the Earth. Many of The Walking Dead's characters may initially may seem moral, but then descend quickly into darkness, a theme that makes The Walking Dead so compelling.

In The Walking Dead universe, the line between hero and villain is constantly blurred. Characters who are introduced to the audience as friendly, later becoming significant Walking Dead villains, are just ordinary people doing whatever it takes to survive. This thematic narrative is woven throughout the franchise, driving the storyline forward and constantly allowing viewers to second guess the introduction of any new character,...

The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Season 2 Premiere Review - Exemplary Opener Smartly Tackles Carol's Pain
Image
Warning! Spoilers ahead for Daryl Dixon season 2, episode 1.

Originally, The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon was conceived as a spinoff that would center on both Daryl and Carol, but due to some scheduling conflicts, Melissa McBride was only available to appear very briefly in season 1. This reworking ultimately worked in the shows favor, though, allowing the first season to focus solely on Daryl (Norman Reedus), using the stranger in a strange land trope to dig into his character. Now, season 2, aptly subtitled The Book of Carol, is able to give Carol its full attention.

Daryl Dixon season 2 is an all-time high for The Walking Dead
Image
The Walking Dead shows have been on our screens for well over a decade at this point. Fans have seen pretty much everything. or at least, sometimes it feels like it. There's been all-out-war, nuclear bombs dropped, variant zombies, countless impressive communities...the list goes on. And yet, season 2 of Daryl Dixon, subtitled The Book of Carol, still managed to blow me away.

Worry not, Walking Dead fans! This is a Spoiler-free review.

Daryl Dixon season 1 was a solid Walking Dead spinoff. It tpold a fresh and gritty survival story set in France, where the series had never been. We were introduced to some great new survivors, most notably Isabelle (Clémence Poésy) and Laurent (Louis Puech Scigliuzzi). After the franchise began to stagnate in the samey setting of the rural United States, the distinct European atmosphere really offered something novel that captivated me.

While season 1 was great, it merely set...

Twd: Daryl Dixon - The Book of Carol Is a Challenging Season 2
Image
The first season of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon was a success among critics and viewers -- despite its flaws. It finally got The Walking Dead franchise out of North America and captured how cultural differences create unique apocalyptic circumstances. And it was also essentially a set-up for Melissa McBride's unsurprising return as Carol Peletier. McBride and Norman Reedus had emotionally-burning chemistry as the platonic (or maybe non-platonic) survivors throughout The Walking Dead's 11 seasons, and the idea was that Daryl Dixon wouldn't disturb such dynamite.

Season 2 of Daryl Dixon, subtitled The Book of Carol, is a sentimental runway for Daryl and Carol. As usual, their characters receive profound arcs bewitched by unimaginable grief and tumultuous love -- but when their metaphorical plane into the sunset takes off, the remarkable supporting characters are left behind. The tragedy of a country with a history of fighting against fascism falling...

Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Showrunner Teases Daryl's New Conflict In Season 2
Image
The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon showrunner David Zabel has teased what Daryl's new conflict is going to be for season 2, explaining how it relates to both the Pouvoir and the Nest. Daryl Dixon season 1 ended with the titular protagonist deciding to stay in France, after Laurent (Louis Puech Scigliuzzi) followed him to the boat that was going to take him back to America. When the new episodes begin, Daryl (Norman Reedus) is expected to still be in the Nest with the boy and Isabelle (Clmence Posy), raising him to be a messiah-like figure within the post-apocalypse.

Speaking with Entertainment Weekly, Zabel teased how Daryl's new conflict in The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon season 2 revolves around the different forms of extremism presented by both the Pouvoir and the Nest. The showrunner explained how Daryl wouldn't want Laurent to become entirely conditioned to the kindly nature of Losang (Joel de la Fuente) and his people.

This is Day 78 of the SAG-AFTRA strike.

It was everything everywhere all at once Thursday in New York City: Striking actors getting ready for contract talks were joined by writers who have just wrapped up theirs at a rally in Manhattan that also highlighted Asian American Pacific Islander culture in film and television.

On the eve of the Mid-Autumn Festival celebrated by Asian communities worldwide, about 200 people gathered outside the Manhattan offices of Warner Bros. Discovery for pickets and speeches that marked the official end of one strike against the major studios and the continuation of another whose end might be in sight.

Speakers including Joel de la Fuente of Hemlock Grove, Perry Yung of The Knick, Celia Au of Wu Assassins and Ivory Aquino of When We Rise hailed the growing visibility of Asian-Americans onscreen and said that their strike demands — including sustainable wages and limits on the use...
