Robert Gwyn Davin
Born and bred in beautiful North Wales, Welsh (Cymraeg) is Robert's native language.

Moved to London in 1986, working backstage in West End shows; A Month of Sundays with George Cole, of Minder fame, Goergy Girl with Paul Nicholas and Cyd Charisse, and was the ASM for the Proms at the Royal Albert Hall in the summer of 1986, before starting training at LAMDA for three years. Graduated from LAMDA in 1989, and was one of the original co-founders of Threshold Theatre Company (later Arts Threshold), with fellow LAMDA graduates. After graduating Robert gained his Equity card in repertory at the Derby Playhouse, with the formidable director Annie Castledine.

Worked on the original production of Miss Saigon with Jonathan Pryce, at the Drury Lane Theatre in 1990. Then, on the strength of Mr Pryce's personal advice and encouragement, Robert moved to Cardiff, working increasingly in Welsh language TV and film. In 1994 he played Matthew in the multi award winning independent film BRANWEN, adapted from The Mabinogion, updated by Gareth Miles, before filming FIRST KNIGHT for four months. In the early 2000's he played Dave Marshall in the long running Welsh continuing drama Pobol Y Cwm for two years.

In 2004, played a hardened criminal in a jewellery heist gone wrong in BBC1's CASUALTY, in a two part story. Had fun throwing one of the main characters' off the roof of a multi story car park. As you do. Robert has worked in the theatre in London and Cardiff, as well as doing voice over and radio work in both English and Welsh. Has lived in London off and on for many years, also in Toronto, Canada, and of course in Wales.
