Danny Dare started as actor on the stage in New York in the 1920s and became dance director in 1929, his works include Sweet Adelaide and Crazy Quilt. He also wrote vaudeville sketches and produced them. Since 1935 he was working as choreographer in Hollywood, his best remembered work is L'amour chante et danse (1942). Since 1945 he was also producer.
