    • Lisa Daniely was born on June 4, 1929 in Reading, Berkshire, England, UK. She was an actress, known for Hindle Wakes (1952), The Invisible Man (1958) and Lily Marlène (1950). She was married to Grey Blake. She died on January 24, 2014.

  • Reverted to her real name in 1978.
  • She gave up acting for a while, then returned to do what she enjoyed.
  • Speaking French fluently, she toured in France in a Molière play but couldn't do so under her real name, She had always been called Lisa as a child and the play's director Danielly thought Lisa Danielly had a good ring to it. She only acted once under her real name and that was in a play for ATV Television, which the director had persuaded her to do, and she regretted it.
  • British leading lady of the 1950s and '60s, the daughter of an English solicitor father and a French mother. She was educated in Paris, studied acting at the Sarah Bernhardt Theatre and appeared in films by the age of 21.
  • Studied at RADA 1947-48, then six months at the Sarah Bernhardt School in Paris.
