Biography

    • Studied law enforcement at Youngstown State University. Worked as a police office and became a crime reporter for stations in Ohio and CKLW in Windsor, Ontario before moving to Toronto in 1974. Has worked as a television journalist, announcer and co-anchor at CITY-TV in Toronto. He is also a prostate cancer survivor.

  • He has a stepdaughter, Nicole Murray.
  • On September 9, 2010, Dailey announced on air during his 11:00pm newscast on CityNews Tonight that he was suffering from kidney cancer on his left kidney. The cancer spread to his lungs, and thus ending his career.
  • Myth that he was the voice in the chorus of the Rush song "Subdivision." He dispelled this in a 2009 posting on Citytv's website.
  • Before becoming involved in broadcasting, he was a police officer in Ohio.
