    • Josef Dahmen was born on August 21, 1903 in Solingen, Germany. He was an actor and director, known for Liebe, Tod und Teufel (1934), Le testament du docteur Mabuse (1933) and Tim Frazer (1963). He was married to Gisela von Collande. He died on January 18, 1985 in Hamburg, West Germany.

  • Brother-in-law of Volker von Collande.
  • German character actor, on stage from 1925. Long residencies at theatres in Berlin and Hamburg. On screen from 1930, generally in diverse supporting roles ranging from lawyers and academics to maritime workers or small time crooks. Dahmen found stardom late in life, as Obersekretär Koldehoff, in the TV series Hafenpolizei (1963).
  • During the wartime he continued his career successfully and took part in "Ohm Krüger" (1941), "Stukas" (1941), "Die goldene Stadt" (1942).
  • From the 60's he only appeared seldom in front of the camera.
  • The actor Josef Dahmen began his film career at the beginning of the 30's with small parts in "M - Eine Stadt sucht einen Mörder" (1931).
