  • Her husband, Peter Mansbridge, was the longtime anchor of "The National", from 1988-2017, a nightly news programme on the CBC television network in Canada.
  • After years of dancing, stage productions, the occasional TV guest spots and movie parts, she was brought down to New York in 1987 to appear in an off-Broadway play. A role in the musical Pal Joey won her a Dora Mavor Moore Award as a best actress.
  • She was cast in Street Legal as Olivia Novak, it was this role that catapulted her to television stardom.
  • Worried about being typecast after years of playing the selfish and manipulative Olivia Novak on _"Street Legal" (1986)_ for six years, Cynthia accepted the role of Terry Lane in Taking the Falls (1995), but received little notice as the show was cancelled after only thirteen episodes.
  • Currently appearing as Eliza Doolittle in the Stratford Festival production of "My Fair Lady." (June 2002)

  • In 1983 she made her first appearance in the Stratford Festival. She worked on The Mikado and The Gondoliers, but had an unfortunate and quite embarrassing incident where she fell into an orchestra pit.
  • She will be recording her second CD in January; it will be released by the end of spring. (January 2004)
  • Her second CD "More" will be released on April 1. (March 2004)
