One of the first topless dancers in America. She gained fame by performing in the North Beach area of San Francisco with other dancers like Carol Doda. Both were involved in obscenity trials in San Francisco in the 1960's that delivered favorable verdicts for the owners of the night clubs where they performed. In 1966, D'Angers chained herself to the Golden Gate Bridge as a protest against her ordered deportation to Iran, which was overturned in 1968.
