Marvel Studios Rumored To Have Plans For Ultron In Multiple Projects Following His Vision Return
Image
We haven't seen the powerful supervillain known as Ultron since 2015's Avengers: Age of Ultron, and fans have been hoping to see the megalomaniacal AI make his return to the MCU ever since.

Back in Auguest, the news broke that James Spader is set to reprise the role for the planned Disney+ Vision series, which is being described as "the third part of a trilogy that started with WandaVision and continued in Agatha All Along."

Ultron was created by Tony Stark and Bruce Banner to be part of a peacekeeping program that was meant to "put a shield around the Earth" as a defence against invasion, but the AI ended up turning against humanity and was ultimately destroyed by his "son" Vision towards the end of Age of Ultron.

How he will be reintroduced remains to be seen, but Spader is expected to play Ultron in human form along with...

‘NCIS: Tony & Ziva’ Gets Premiere Date & Key Art As Stars Michael Weatherly & Cote De Pablo Tease “Self-Driving Murder Cars”
Image
Michael Weatherly and Cote de Pablo’s return to television — and the NCIS franchise — now has an exact date. The upcoming spinoff NCIS: Tony & Ziva, in which the duo reprise their fan-favorite roles from the mothership series, will debut September 4 with three episodes exclusively on Paramount+ in the U.S. and a number of territories. Following the premiere, new episodes will drop weekly on Thursdays, with the season finale October 23.

Paramount+ also has released a key art of NCIS: Tony & Ziva that reflects the series’ pan-European setting. In the offshoot, former NCIS agents Tony (Weatherly) and Ziva (de Pablo) had been raising their daughter in Paris when an attack on Tony’s security company sends them on the run across Europe, trying to figure out who is after them and maybe even learn to trust each other again so they can finally have their unconventional happily ever after.

Vision Series Reportedly Casts The McU's Tommy Maximoff, Aka Speed - Spoilers
Image
Back in February, the trades reported that Marvel Studios' planned Vision series added another new cast member, leading to speculation that the Marvel Cinematic Universe may have found its Tommy Maximoff, aka Speed.

You may recall which actor we're referring to, but it sounds like this is something Marvel will attempt to keep under wraps, so beware of spoilers from this point on.

According to Daniel Richtman, The Franchise and Too Rough actor Ruaridh Mollica's character, Tucker, will indeed turn out to be Tommy Maximoff.

Agatha All Along introduced Billy Maximoff's (Joe Locke), who set off to locate his brother alongside "Ghost Agatha" (Kathryn Hahn) in the season finale.

Richtman writes: "In Agatha All Along, Billy’s soul is shown to inhabit the body of William Kaplan, a teenager who tragically dies in a car accident shortly after his bar mitzvah. Similarly, Tommy’s soul will inhabit the body of Tucker,...

Vision Series Officially Adds Schitt's Creek Star Emily Hampshire As Human Version Of E.D.I.T.H.
Image
At this point, it seems clear that Marvel Television's Vision starring Paul Bettany series is assembling a line-up of former AI defence systems in human form - but for what reason remains to be seen.

First reported by Daniel Richtman, Deadline has now confirmed that Emily Hampshire has joined the cast of Marvel's Disney+ Vision show as a human version of E.D.I.T.H..

This tech was created by Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) before being passed on to Peter Parker (Tom Holland) following Iron Man's demise in Avengers: Endgame.

E.D.I.T.H. took the form of a pair of high-tech sunglasses, which Spidey unwittingly gives to Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal) in Spider-Man: Far From Home. The glasses were confiscated by Damage Control after Peter’s superhero identity is revealed to the world at the end of the movie.

James Spader will also return as Ultron,...

Madripoor Will Reportedly Feature In Disney+ Vision Series, Not Avengers: Doomsday
Image
Last week, a fan claimed that he managed to sneak onto the set of Avengers: Doomsday, and was able to share some of the footage he filmed online before it was removed from the various social media sites.

The brief clips didn't feature anything particularly revealing, but did seem to confirm that we'll be paying a visit to Madripoor - the fictional Southeast Asian island commonly associated with Wolverine and the X-Men - at some point in the movie.

However, reports would later cast doubt on this anonymous set spy's claims, and we may now know why.

According to Daniel Richtman, Madrippor will feature in the Disney+ Vision series, and not Avengers: Doomsday. If this is accurate, it seems likely that this leaker actually made his way on to the set of the WandaVision spin-off.

We first paid a visit to Madripoor in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and...

MCU Rumor Roundup: Vision Casts Paladin, Latest On McU's Ghost Rider Plans, Possible "Battleworld" Movie, More
Image
The Vision cast has started taking shape in recent days, and after reporting yesterday that Kerry Condon and James D'Arcy are confirmed to reprise their respective roles as F.R.I.D.A.Y. and Edwin Jarvis, we have another update from Daniel Richtman.

He's learned that Todd Stashwick (12 Monkeys) will play Paladin, a mercenary hunting down Vision to steal the technology powering him. Whether he's doing so at the behest of S.W.O.R.D. or another unknown foe remains to be seen.

@MyTimeToShineH, meanwhile, has shared an Avengers: Doomsday update, specifically in regards to Ghost Rider. The leaker writes, "Ryan Gosling is Marvel's top choice for Ghost Rider, the only obstacle is Star Wars: Starfighter. If everything aligns, he'll appear in Doomsday!" We'll see if this pans out.

Over at The Cosmic Circus, Alex Perez says he expects the Champions (a.k.a. the Young Avengers) to assemble in Avengers: Doomsday.

Kerry Condon Confirmed To Play F.R.I.D.A.Y. In Human Form In Disney+ Vision Series
Image
As Marvel Studios' Vision series - which may or may not turn out to be titled "Vision Quest" - continues to round out its cast, we have a very interesting update relating to Tony Stark's former AI assistant.

According to Daniel Richtman, Kerry Condon will appear as F.R.I.D.A.Y. in human form. This isn't the first time the Academy Award-nominated The Banshees of Inisherin star has been mentioned in connection with the Vision show, but we weren't sure if she'd actually appear in live-action or simply add her voice to the character.

Condon voiced Tony's second AI after J.A.R.V.I.S. (Paul Bettany) was transformed into Vision. We have also heard that James D'Arcy will return as Edwin Jarvis in some capacity.

How these characters will factor into the show remains to be seen.

We recently learned that T’nia Miller will play the Bride of Ultron,...

Disney+ Makes MCU History With Return of ABC Marvel Actor
Image
Marvel's most recent casting rumor could be a historic moment for the MCU as it integrates one of its actors from the ABC era of Marvel Television into a live-action Disney+ show. Before Disney+, Marvel Studios partnered with ABC for several Marvel TV series, most notably Agents of Shield and Agent Carter. Marvel Studios has often dodged acknowledging whether these shows are canon in the MCU, but the crossover of actors between the ABC shows and Marvel Studios films and series is opening the door for more integration between these disparate corners of the Marvel world.

One of Marvel's anticipated upcoming Disney+ shows is Vision Quest, which explores Vision's (Paul Bettany) journey for answers after he was resurrected as White Vision. However, Vision isn't the only character the MCU is resurrecting in the show, with entertainment insider Daniel Richtman reporting that James D'Arcy is set to reprise his role...

Marvel unexpectedly recasts Spider-Man actor ahead of MCU return
Image
There is a lot to be excited about when it comes to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The franchise staged a huge comeback at the box office last year with Deadpool and Wolverine and has since scored Disney Plus success stories with Agatha All Along and Daredevil: Born Again. Now, it has enjoyed more critical acclaim with Thunderbolts*, which had such a positive response that it ended up defying expectations at the box office. This is the type of momentum that Marvel Studios needs to continue building as we head into Avengers: Doomsday next year.

Speaking of 2026, next year will also feature Spider-Man: Brand New Day's release in movie theaters, as well as the second season of Daredevil: Born Again and The Punisher Special Presentation. Animated shows Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man and X-Men '97 will also return for second seasons, while Vision Quest will premiere too, carrying on the story of the WandaVision saga.

Vision Series Reportedly Casts Foundation & LA Fortuna Star T'Nia Miller As Jocasta - Confirmed
Image
Update: Deadline has confirmed that Miller will play Jocasta, who is described as "cunning, powerful and driven by revenge."

We've been hearing rumors that Marvel Studios' WandaVision spin-off focusing on Paul Bettany's Synthezoid will introduce Jocasta to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and a reliable source is now claiming that the role has been filled.

According to Daniel Richtman, T’nia Miller will play the Bride of Ultron in the Disney+ series.

The scooper mentions that Jocasta will be a villain, but there's a chance she will ultimately end up joining the Avengers down the line. In the comics, Jocasta - later known as Jocasta Pym - was created to be Ultron's bride, and was given the brainwaves of Janet van Dyne. It remains to be seen if the character will be given a similar origin for her live-action debut.

15 Most Underrated TV Shows On Disney+
Image
We may receive a commission on purchases made from links.

Disney has been making entertainment magic for more than 100 years, but in recent years, Disney+ has become the go-to streaming service for fans who want to rewatch the movies and shows that they love the most. Some people head to the famed Disney princesses (which /Film has ranked), while others revisit live-action adventures like "Tron." It's easy to immediately go for the comfort food, but Disney+ offers more than the popular stuff that people make a beeline for.

Amid popular TV shows like "Boy Meets World" and "Lizzie McGuire" (which was cancelled twice), Disney+ has plenty of shows that didn't get the recognition they deserved when they premiered. This gave them an underdog status that could have been brought on by over-saturation of content or a storyline that was ahead of its time. These forgotten shows hold a special place within the Disney catalog,...

Not Agents of Shield, One Sad Truth Makes ‘Agent Carter’ MCU’s Worst Blunder
Image
It was in 2011 when the world was introduced to Hayley Atwell in the iconic role of Agent Peggy Carter in Captain America: The First Avenger. Fans loved her (alongside Steve Rogers) but found very little time with her when Steve Rogers dived headfirst into an icy plunge.

However, with the cryo-sleep of Steve Rogers, Peggy Carter’s story did not end. Quite the contrary, Atwell reprised her role in a 15-minute film titled Agent Carter and a subsequent series of the same name in 2015.

What went wrong with Marvel’s Agent Carter?

Don’t get me wrong. Marvel’s Agent Carter was one of the finest television shows that the world had ever seen (alongside Daredevil) when it was airing in 2015. However, there was a pretty big blunder that the MCU made.

Tom Hardy's Critically Panned 25% Rotten Tomatoes Rom-Com Proves Popular on Streaming
Image
13 years before he was starring in Guy Ritchie's latest crime series alongside Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren, and dominating the streaming charts alongside Timothy Olyphant in Havoc, Tom Hardy'sreputationcontinued to grow as he joined two Hollywood mainstays in Chris Pine and Reese Witherspoon in a spy thriller meets romantic comedy, This Means War. Directed by McG, the movie sees CIA agents and suave suit-wearers Tuck (Hardy) and Fdr (Pine), an inseparable pair of operatives, whose friendship and professional lives come crashing down after they find out they are dating the same woman, Lauren Scott (Witherspoon).

Sadly, the movie fared terribly with critics and most audiences, earning a disastrous 25% critics score on review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes, with an audience score of 56% not doing much to help the cause. For Hardy, this marks his lowest Rotten Tomatoes score of his entire filmography, which is quite some feat considering the many underwhelming projects in his catalog.

Quentin Tarantino Raves About This Award-Winning Thriller: “It’s a symphony. Nothing doesn’t work.”
Quentin Tarantino at an event for La 85e cérémonie des Oscars (2013)
If you’re on the hunt for a quality movie night recommendation but can’t make up your mind, I’ve got just what you need. I recently stumbled upon a past podcast appearance where decorated director Quentin Tarantino revealed his second favorite film of the 2010s. Better yet, the picture in question is now streaming on Prime Video.

Tarantino appeared on the Rewatchables Podcast in 2020 to discuss a feature he just can’t stop rewatching. I’m talking about Christopher Nolan’s war thriller Dunkirk.

In conversation with the hosts, Tarantino acknowledged that it took him several viewings to appreciate the film fully. He said of his inaugural experience, “I was awed by it.” The Pulp Fiction director explained that it took several times to really see past the spectacle of the flick and appreciate the phenomenal filmmaking on display within.

Tarantino continued, saying: “Oftentimes, you see a film...

Iron Man Star Faran Tahir Talks Vision Return, Working With James Spader, And 2008 Movie's Legacy (Exclusive)
Image
WandaVision concluded with the original Vision, rebuilt by S.W.O.R.D. to do as they command, attempting to kill Wanda Maximoff and his Hex double. The latter seemingly restored his doppelganger's memories during their clash, prompting the presumably emotionless "White Vision" to fly away to parts unknown.

Marvel Studios and Marvel Television will continue that story in Disney+'s upcoming Vision series, and there's a great deal of intrigue surrounding the project.

We know that James Spader will return as Ultron, while it's been widely reported that the Disney+ series will adapt elements of West Coast Avengers and Tom King's Vision series. There have even been rumblings that we'll see James D'Arcy and Kerry Condon play human versions of Edwin Jarvis and F.R.I.D.A.Y.

By far one of the most intriguing additions to the cast is Iron Man star Faran Tahir. He starred...

Vision Series Adds The Franchise Actor Ruaridh Mollica As "Tucker" - Has The MCU Found Its Speed?
Image
Marvel Studios' planned Vision series has added another new cast member, and there's already speculation that the Marvel Cinematic Universe may have found its Tommy Maximoff, aka Speed.

Deadline reports that The Franchise and Too Rough actor Ruaridh Mollica has joined the WandaVision spin-off as a character named "Tucker."

Though this Tucker might well be a completely different character, previous rumors have suggested that the Vision series will introduce Billy Maximoff's (Joe Locke) brother, who the newly powered-up Wiccan set off to locate alongside "Ghost Agatha" in the season finale of Agatha All Along.

At 25, Mollica is a little older than Locke (21), but he could convincingly play a teenager.

The untitled Vision project - which may or may not end up being called Vision Quest - has been described as "the third part of a trilogy that started with WandaVision and continues in Agatha All Along."

We found out last...

Two more MCU veterans reportedly set for major return
Image
No one is ever truly gone in the world of comic books. Through various supernatural ways that be can used in specific lores to revive dearly departed characters to the endless possibilities of the multiverse that can bring in alternate versions of those characters from another world, the comic book medium has defied the natural order of things time and time again.

Remember how Arrow revived Sara Lance using the Lazarus Pit? What about how it brought in the Earth-2 version of her sister, the Black Canary, after senselessly killing off the Earth-1 version? That's just one example of that, and the Arrowverse franchise as a whole was arguably ahead of its time considering the multiverse is everywhere nowadays - largely due to the Marvel Cinematic Universe's take on the phenomenon.

With the McU's Multiverse Saga already bringing back multiple characters that didn't exist in that franchise to begin with,...

Liam Neeson Action Thriller 'Run All Night' Heads To Free Streaming in February
Image
A divisive action thriller led by aged action icon Liam Neeson sprints onto free streaming in February. The Taken star has become well-renowned for his action movie prowess, and while 2015’s Run All Night may not have won over all the critics, it’s well-worth a watch for anyone looking for another reliably gruff performance from the Academy Award nominee.

Directed by Jaume Collet-Serra, who recently found much success with his festive action thriller Carry-On on Netflix, and written by Brad Ingelsby, Run All Night stars Joel Kinnaman, Common, and Ed Harris alongside Neeson, and finds the actor on familiar ground as a hitman who is forced to go on the run with his son after killing a mob boss. Run All Night is due to hit Tubi on February 1, and you can check out the official synopsis below.

Actor James D'Arcy, known as Agent Carter in the MCU and for his roles in Christopher Nolan's Dunkirk and Oppenheimer, made his debut as a feature director with the 2020 dramedy, Made in Italy. Liam Neeson, on a break from a decade as an action hero, was cast as one of the leads alongside his real-life son Micheál Richardson in his first major role. The two play an estranged father and son — both artists, one roguish and aging, one young and determined — who travel to Italy to restore a villa left to them by their late wife/mother, who passed away in a car accident.

Neeson and Richardson Had a Personal Connection to 'Made in Italy'

D'Arcy has been public about how Made in Italy was inspired by his own mother's death and was even planning to star in the film, but he had become too old to...
