Sister of Isabelle Cyr.

Myriam Cyr was born in Moncton, New Brunswick. Her mother was a radio and television announcer and programming director. Myriam trained in Montreal and in London.

She wrote *Letters of a Portuguese Nun: Uncovering the Mystery Behind a 17th Century Forbidden Love* which was published in 2007. It is about 5 letters written by a nun in 1669 to her love, a French military officer. It has received widely differing reviews.
