Gesine Cukrowski in Terreur.point.com (2002)
Gesine Cukrowski is a German Actress.

She made her first television appearance as Sister Irene in "Praxis Bülowbogen" in 1987 after completing her training at the Maria Körber Acting School. Following various theater engagements, she assumed a recurring role in the 1995 TV series "Und tschüss" (Directed by Carsten Wichniarz). In 1997, Cukrowski gained popularity as forensic pathologist Judith Sommer in the award-winning crime series "Der Letzte Zeuge" (Directed by Bernhard Stephan), a role she portrayed until 2007. Notable among her productions is the International Emmy-nominated drama "Das Wunder von Berlin" (2008, Directed by Roland Suso Richter).

Showcasing her versatility, Cukrowski played Katharina Augstein, the first wife of the SPIEGEL founder, in the political drama "Die Spiegel Affäre" (2013, Directed by Roland Suso Richter). She also captured the hearts of millions in leading roles in "Katie Fforde" adaptations.

In 2022, Gesine Cukrowski gained worldwide acclaim for her portrayal of Eva de Vries in "Hotel Mondial," resonating with audiences globally and emphasizing the importance of representing women over 50 in the media.

Beyond her acting career, Cukrowski has been a dedicated patron for the "Findelbaby" project, supporting women in crisis during anonymous childbirth. Recognizing her significant social and humanitarian contributions, she was awarded the Hans-Rosenthal Honorary Prize in April 2012. Since her visit to Uganda in the summer of 2015, where she explored the Karamoja projects of Welthungerhilfe, Gesine has passionately collected donations to combat hunger locally and raise awareness. In October 2016, she was appointed to the board of trustees of Welthungerhilfe.
