Annett lived with her mother and brother in the German Refugee Center in Berlin Marienfelde when she returned from Sudan. The refugee center is a Museum Today.

In 2007, the German born actress Annett Culp became a U.S. Citizen. She admits she was motivated by the convenience of being able to travel the world with an American passport.

She lived in Sudan/Omdurman when she was only three months old. Annett took her first steps while covered in layer of dust from a Sahara sand strum.
