J. Anthony Crane currently stars as wayward father and enterpriser Chandler Groff on Netflix's Outer Banks (20250 in his early career, just out of Drama School, he starred as the unconventional New Orleans detective Remy McSwain in USA's The Big Easy. Recent film credits include Usher Morgan's Plucked, starring with Katie Vincent, and Marco Barrata's Turning, which recently premiered at the Woddstcok Film Festival . Recent TV credits are Dead Ringers on Amazon, Succession on HBO/MAX, Law & Order, and FBI: Most Wanted. He is set to appear in this coming season of HBO's Sex and The City saga: ...And Just Like That, as well as Amazon's newest Rock N Roll journey, The Runarounds. He recently performed on Broadway in Stephen Adly Giurgis' intense drama, Between Riverside and Crazy, starring opposite Stephen McKinley Henderson. He has performed nationwide in theatre, appearing for many years in Disney's The Lion King, as the villain Scar, and Les Miserables, as the scheming innkeeper, Thenardier. He has been recognized numerous times for citation for his performances in plays performed in Chicago, Washington, DC, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. He is a graduate of Northwestern University, where he received a Bachelors in Theatre, and Writing, from the School of Speech. He resides in Broklyn, New York, and the Hudson Valley.
