- At the age of 22, Simon was grabbed and pulled over a bar counter by movie star and hell-raiser Oliver Reed, who threatened to punch his lights out for serving him a cold drink in a warm glass.
- Simon ran 7 Indiegogo and Kickstarter campaigns over 2 years and managed to fund half of his science fiction movie, Kaleidoscope Man. A feat he is very proud of but would not recommend!.
