Biography

    • Maxime Le Flaguais was born in 1982 in Quebec, Canada. As a talented actor, Maxime Le Flaguais has earned himself an enviable and loyal following among the Quebec audience. He has taken on many diverse roles, may it be for theatre, television, cinema or dubbing.

In November 2017, Maxime was in a French adaptation of Arthur Miller's A View from the Bridge (Vu du Pont) presented at the prestigious Théâtre du Nouveau Monde. Previously, he took on the lead role of Alex DeLarge in an original Québec theatrical adaptation of Clockwork Orange and was casted in Caligula remix, directed by Marc Beaupré. He also played in La vague parfaite, a Théâtre du Futur production by Guillaume Tremblay and Olivier Morin.

Maxime has also been seen on the silver screen: Jean-Marc Vallée's C.R.A.Z.Y. (2005); Absolute Race (2007), directed by Alain Desrochers; Babine (2008), by Luc Picard; Les grandes chaleurs (2009), by Sophie Lorain; all prior to playing a young Robert Piché in Piché: entre ciel et terre (2010).

As for the small screen, his character Doctor Eric Lanoue, present in all five seasons of Trauma (2010) quickly comes to mind. In 2015, he played controversial teacher Mathieu Brousseau in the widely watched daily program 30 Vies (2011) and the fearsome colleague Etienne to actress Sophie Desmarais's character in Mon ex à moi (2015). Before embodying Alexis Labranche for the past four years in the current and very popular series Les Pays d'en Haut (2016), Maxime was famous explorer Samuel de Champlain in TFO's Rêve de Champlain (2015). Furthermore, Maxime played opposite Sofia Pernas in the upcoming action CBS series Blood & Treasure (2019).

In addition to acting, Maxime Le Flaguais is a promising lyricist. His collaboration with singer BEYRIES landed his J'aurai Cent ans (1 million streams on Spotify) in the top ten shortlist of 2017 SOCAN Songwriting Prize. The following year, Au-delà des mots, TVA's television show La vraie nature (2017)'s signature song, obtained equal recognition when making it to the 2018 edition of the SOCAN shortlist.
