Robin Cook(1931-1994)

  • Writer
IMDbProStarmeterSee rank
Cook was born into an upper-class family in London, but turned his back on his upbringing and spent many years drifting in and out of small-time crime. In his later years, he adopted the pseudonym "Derek Raymond", to avoid confusion with the blockbuster writer Robin Cook. As Raymond, he wrote what have become his most enduring novels, the 'Factory' series, which followed an unnamed Detective Sergeant investigating gruesome crimes in and around the seedier areas of London.

He appears briefly, as himself, in Chris Petit's film "The Cardinal And The Corpse".
