- Created Big and Loud Video, LLC for children and produced, directed, and narrated its live-action DVDs, Big and Loud on a Construction Site (2008) and Big and Loud on a Farm (2008).
- Has a BFA in Graphic Design from Kansas State University.
- In preparation for The Thin Dead Line (2001) he did a ride along with a patrol officer from the Santa Monica Police Department.
- Studied acting with the legendary acting teacher, Larry Moss, for 4 years in Santa Monica, California.
- Has worked numerous times with Silas Weir Mitchell in theatre productions, most notably "Hurlyburly" at the Met Theatre, summer 2004.
- Produced and starred in "Frankie And Johnny In The Clair De Lune" at the Hudson Mainstage Theatre, winter 2008.
- Trained to use a 9mm and a billy club by an L.A. Sheriff Deputy who trains SWAT teams.
- Has been in two films that were nominated for the Best Picture Oscar: Le Mans '66 (2019) and The Social Network (2010).
- All-League Defensive End in high school.
