Anastasia Coon joyfully captivates and entertains audiences while winning awards for her work on stage and screen. Anastasia brings a rich life experience and professional actor training to the job; having earned her MFA in Acting from the University of Texas at Austin, Anastasia has portrayed classical and contemporary lead roles in regional theaters such as Isabella in Shakespeare's Measure for Measure and Charlotte in Tom Stoppard's The Real Thing. Anastasia was nominated for the Robbie Award "Best Actress in a Comedy" for playing Raymonde in A Flea in Her Ear while the Austin Critic's Table nominated Anastasia as "Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy" for her performance as Marya Lvovna in Gorky's Summer People. A graduate of Dell'Arte International School of Physical Theatre, Anastasia excels at improvisation and creating her own work, including her solo show, Gracie and Rose.

Appearing as Mrs. Carol on NBC's "Friday Night Lights", and as the hot mom, Diane Cougar, on Comedy Central's "Ving Break", Anastasia is very active in commercial work and independent films, currently playing in festivals worldwide. She plays the lead role of a single girl on the prowl in "Checkout", winner of the College EMMY for Best Comedy, and a desperate ex-wife in "Vital Signs", an official SXSW selection.

The Back Story: Anastasia grew up traveling and immersed in the arts, exploring people and places around the world. The daughter of a Physics professor and a biology teacher, Anastasia remembers living in Belgium, Germany, Portugal and Australia as a kid. Home base was always Tucson, Arizona in the beautiful desert where Anastasia loved hiking, swimming, and getting an early start on acting at a performing arts high school. She went on to get her BFA in Theatre Performance at Chapman University in Southern California. Anastasia traveled independently for two years enriching her acting work and finding jobs to pay her way. She picked grapes for the wine harvest in Tuscany, performed street theatre in Rome, taught theatre games in Istanbul, and taught English and Yoga in Prague.
