Courtney Conte is one of the most experienced and respected television executives in the entertainment industry. His credentials include program development, producer, director and Co-President/Head of Production of the industry's most successful independent television studio, Carsey-Werner. In his 30-year career he has produced in every state in America as well as in more than 60 countries throughout the world. He has been honored for his excellence with a Cable Ace Award and an Emmy nomination. He has worked with almost every major media company including Universal, Disney, Warner Brothers, Fox, NBC, ABC, CBS, UPN, The WB, HBO, Showtime, Nickelodeon and Lifetime.

Conte gained notoriety in his early career while working for George Schlatter on his hit NBC series Real People, where he served as production manager, producer and segment director. His accomplishments and relationship with Schlatter lead to producer and line producer assignments on several specials including the Emmy award winning The Magic of David Copperfield in China.

In 1986 Courtney became Executive in Charge of Production at the Fox Broadcasting Company overseeing such series as The Late Show with Arsenio Hall and The Late Show with Joan rivers. In 1988 Courtney accepted an in-house producer position at Propaganda Films producing many of their television shows. In 1990 Conte joined Think Entertainment as Shelley Duvall's Co-Executive Producer working on the award winning Bedtime Stories and Mrs. Piggle Wiggle.

In 1993 he served as the producer for the Brett Butler special The Child Ain't Right for Showtime, which launched his twelve-year relationship with Carsey-Werner. After producing She TV for Carsey-Werner and ABC, Conte was appointed Vice President of Production in 1994, Senior Vice President of Production in 1995 and Executive Vice President of Production in 1997. In addition to his full time production responsibilities at Carsey-Werner, in 1998 he was made Senior VP of Production at Oxygen, the 24-hour cable network formed by Geraldine Laybourne, Marcy Carsey, Tom Werner and Oprah Winfrey. Conte facilitated the launch of the network, and was in charge of all West Coast production.

In recognition of his outstanding contributions to both Carsey-Werner and Oxygen, Conte was promoted to co-president of Carsey-Werner in 2000. Conte was responsible for over 2,500 episodes of prime-time television including such hits as Cosby, Roseanne, Grace Under Fire, 3rd Rock From the Sun, Cybill, Men Behaving Badly, Damon, Townies, God the Devil and Bob and most recently Grounded for Life, Tracy Morgan, Whoopi, Game Over and That 70's Show.

Courtney is a member of The Director's Guild of America, The Producer's Guild of America as well as The Television Academy.

Conte resides in Santa Monica with his wife and son.
