  • D'Lo Brown was involved in a match on Oct. 5, 1999 during a SmackDown taping, in which he subjected his opponent, Darren Drozdov, to a "Running Powerbomb" that went horribly wrong. In the freak accident, Droz's back was broken and he was paralyzed from the waist down. D'Lo was so upset by the accident that he very seriously considered retiring from wrestling. The match was never aired.
