  • He played the same character (Joe Mannix) in three different series: Mannix (1967), Here's Lucy (1968) and Diagnostic: meurtre (1993).
  • During World War II, he served in the United States Army Air Force.
  • His "Touch" nickname comes from his college basketball playing days.
  • Because of his Armenian heritage, Connors was tapped by Armenian-American documentary filmmaker J. Michael Hagopian to narrate several of his documentaries on the Armenian genocide.
  • He was with John Wayne the day that Wayne was offered the part of Matt Dillon on Gunsmoke (1955), turned it down and suggested James Arness for the role of the Dodge City marshal.
  • Connors spoke three languages, Armenian, English, and French.
  • He and his The Case of the Bullied Bowler (1964) co-star Barbara Hale both died on January 26, 2017.
  • Best remembered by the public for his starring role in Mannix (1967).
