Halfway to Amarillo is a meta-Western comedy where the protagonist's characters come to life, causing chaos in his life. The film is directed by Burt Binder, known for his work as a producer, and making his directorial debut. The film has received positive reception, winning "Best Independent Feature" at the Ifs Los Angeles Film Festival.

What happens when characters you’ve created come to life? That is the question posed by the upcoming meta-Western comedy, Halfway to Amarillo, for which a new trailer has now been released. Coming courtesy of Rapid Trailer, Halfway to Amarillo follows writer Michael Coleman, who gets stuck while writing his second novel, a Western, when the two main characters leap off the page and wreak havoc on his life, forcing him to reevaluate his priorities. Michael Kopsa has tragically passed away at the age of 66.

The beloved Canadian actor, best known for his roles in “The X-Files” and “Smallville”, died on Oct. 23 due to “complications from a brain tumour,” according to his ex-wife, actor Lucia Frangione. Kopsa shared daughter Nora with his former spouse.

“The great Michael Kopsa, my dear friend and the father of my child, Nora, passed away Oct. 23, 2022, of a brain tumor,” she announced in a statement posted to Twitter on Tuesday. “He was an incredible stage and screen actor, voice actor, carpenter, musician and painter. Most importantly, he was a loving and richly present father.”

Some must-watch stuff is coming this Sunday in a two-hour "Once Upon a Time" event, including Ruby, Mulan, Dr. Whale, Zelena's baby, Emma's impossible decision, and the culmination of the Camelot quest.

ABC just shared details on the two-part special, which airs November 15 from 8 to 10 p.m. Here's the rundown on the first hour, Season 5, Episode 8, "Birth," which includes the return of Dr. Whale/Victor Frankenstein:

Tensions in Camelot come to a head when Merlin, now under Arthur's control, delivers an ultimatum to Emma: hand over the Dark One dagger and the Promethean spark or he will kill her entire family. Whether or not you’re a fan of Star Trek Into Darkness, you should take a look at the latest SoundWorks Collection shorts on the music of the film. Michael Coleman visited the 20th Century Fox Newman Scoring Stage to document some of the recording of the Star Trek sequel’s score. While there he interviewed Tim Simonec, the conductor and orchestror, while also getting some footage of director J.J. Abrams and composer Michael Giacchino overlooking the sessions. Also named in the video is co-producer Michelle Rejwan as the orchestra plays “Happy Birthday” in her honor (at least I think it’s in her honor since the camera is turned toward her).
