- David Ciminello was born on May 10, 1962 in New Jersey, USA. He is an actor and writer, known for Bruno (2000), CBS Summer Playhouse (1987) and I Love N.Y. (1987).
- His original screenplay Bruno (2000) had made him a finalist in the Nicholl Fellowships in Screenwriting. Shirley MacLaine directed it and it was released in 2000. It was later released on DVD under the different title "The Dress Code". David said the finished product is something vaguely resembling the original story.
- He holds a BFA Degree in Acting from The Catholic University of America and an MFA in Fiction from Sarah Lawrence College.
- He is a 2011 Lambda Literary Fellow in Fiction and a recipient of a 2013 annual Table 4 Writers Foundation grant.
