Tony Roberts, who appeared in Woody Allen films including “Annie Hall” while enjoying a long, bountiful career on Broadway, died Friday due to complications of lung cancer. He was 85 years old.

Roberts’ death was confirmed to The New York Times by his daughter, Nicole Burley.

Roberts appeared in six film directed by Woody Allen: “Play It Again, Sam” (1972), “Annie Hall” (1977), “Stardust Memories” (1980), “A Midsummer Night’s Sex Comedy” (1982), “Hannah and Her Sisters” (1986) and “Radio Days” (1987).

The actor had a long career on Broadway in which he was twice Tony-nominated: for best actor in a musical in 1968 for “How Now, Dow Jones” and for featured actor in a play in 1969 for Woody Allen’s “Play It Again, Sam.”

Roberts had most recently appeared in the 2017 television film adaptation of “Dirty Dancing.” He had most also appeared on television in a 2010 episode of “Law & Order” in which he played a U.S.

Tony Roberts, the urbane supporting actor known for his collaborations with Woody Allen in six films — including the Oscar best picture winner Annie Hall — and two Broadway plays, died Friday. He was 85.

Roberts died of complications from lung cancer at his home in Manhattan, his daughter, Nicole Burley, told The New York Times.

From Take Her, She’s Mine in 1961 to The Royal Family in 2009, Roberts appeared on Broadway 23 times. In between, he stepped in for Robert Redford in the original production of Neil Simon‘s Barefoot in the Park, directed by Mike Nichols.

In the long-running 1969-70 Broadway hit Play It Again, Sam, written by and starring Allen, Roberts portrayed Dick Christie, whose wife has an affair with his best friend, the magazine writer Allan Felix (Allen).

After Roberts received a best actor Tony nom for his performance, he and Allen reprised their roles for the 1972 movie version at Paramount...

She was back again from 2009 to 2011 and from 2017 to 2018. Robin Strasser portrayed the character in 2019, while Linda took a turn as Vivian in 2021.

Sorel won’t be alone. She’ll be joined by her longtime Days sidekick Ivan G’Vera, who’s back as Ivan Marias.

Remember Captain Deuce Stevens, the Forrester jet pilot who encountered Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacquline MacInnes Wood) when she couldn’t find her passport and had to miss the trip to Monte Carlo?

Well, he’s back and he decides to visit John ‘Finn’ Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) at the hospital. He was played by famed comedian Tom Arnold, so B&b will once again have a guest star making a cameo appearance.

Why would the Forrester pilot visit Finn? Does he know a Forrester secret he believes Finn should know too? Will we see comic moments as we did when Steffy was searching for her passport?

The Young and the Restless alum Hunter King is starring in the new Hallmark Kansas City Chiefs Christmas movie.

This summer, the Hallmark Channel revealed they were teaming up with the Kansas City Chiefs to bring fans a Christmas movie like never before.

On the same day the Kansas City Chiefs helped kick off the new NFL season; Hallmark gave fans a first look and premiere date for the upcoming flick with Hunter and Tyler Hynes.

A Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story will premiere on Saturday, November 30, at 8/7c on Hallmark, which happens to be Thanksgiving weekend.

The movie will be part of Hallmark’s 15th annual Countdown to Christmas.

A campy ’80s sitcom called Small Wonder followed the exploits of Vicki — an acronym for Voice Input Child Identicant — who was a child android played by Tiffany Brissette, then 10. The show was created by the late Howard Leeds, who wrote on Bewitched and The Brady Bunch. Leeds had also written on My Living Doll, a short-lived sitcom from 1964 starring Julie Newmar as a robot woman. He borrowed that premise for Small Wonder, which debuted in syndication on Sept. 10, 1985. (It aired on the newly launched Fox network from 1986 until its cancellation in 1989, then lived on in reruns.)
