Web Series Showdown; Who’s Watching (Or Not Watching) What And Why? (Survey)
There are quite a lot of them out there; it’s a crowded market, it seems. I think I receive 1 or 2 emails a week from creators of new series, wanting me to help push them via this blog. But, to be frank, with my schedule, I really don’t have a lot of time to watch everything that comes my way; usually, it has to come recommended, or is from someone I already know, for it to get my attention. That’s not to say that I don’t whimsically click on links within introductory messages, but if I’m not instantly drawn in by what I see, I probably won’t stay very long, nor return.

We’ve featured a few on this blog, and will continue to do so, as I find titles that I think will be appreciated (by the way, my comrade Aymar Jean Christian maintains...

“The New Twenties” & “Punanny Diaries” (Web Series)
The web is the new frontier, as we’ve already mentioned on this blog. Those I feature on this blog are usually sent to me by the creators. I guess that’s what you have to do if you want attention – instead of waiting to be found,...

Preview “Lenox Avenue” – Web Series Featuring Michael K Williams, Jamie Hector, Dorian Missick, Others
The number of web series available online seems to be multiplying exponentially; I learn about at least 1 new title everyday! The cheaply available production tools, and the web’s democratization are to thank for this.

But I’m not necessarily complaining. The challenge is how one sifts through it all to find those that are actually worth watching. Well, you can check out Aymar Jean Christian’s list on his blog Here, or, if you’re like me, you wait until you get press packages from publicists laying out the bare essentials, making your job a bit easier

Here’s one I received earlier today, titled Lenox Avenue, which got my attention, if only because of the names in its cast and crew – Michael K Williams, Jamie Hector, Dorian Missick, Chenoa Maxwell (where has she been?) and Vanessa Bell Calloway, with Seith Mann slated to direct a few episodes!

With a group like that,...
