  • A condition rendered the left side of his face frozen and his left ear deaf.
  • When a stalker breached security at the Prime Ministers residence in the early 1990s, his wife, Aline, rendered him unconcious with an Inuit soap stone statue. This made him the subject of ridicule by Canadian Comics and the incident reflected badly on the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.
  • Replaced as Prime Minister of Canada by Paul Martin
  • Accepted a position at the Ottawa Law Firm that formerly employed the late Pierre Elliot Trudeau. (February 2004)
  • Stepped down as Prime Minister of Canada. Replaced by Paul Martin. (December 2003)
  • Jean Chretien was born in Shawinigan (Québec) Canada in 1934. Married to Aline Chretien. Has one son: Michel. Prime minister of Canada.
